RAK

I just RAKed someone. Have you done it yet today? A lady down the street lost her husband this year to Cancer, and she walks with a walker. I saw her outside yesterday trying to shovel her driveway and went over to help. Today we had some more snow and I saw that her drive had not been done, so I walked down and did it. Hopefully it will be a nice surprise if she goes out later today.
This is so easy to do. Just open your eyes and look around. The simplest things can mean so much to others.
Laura RAKed me today. She took Kaeden to school for me, and then called and checked up on Sterling later. That is what a great friend is. Small things, people. Small things.
I want to hear what you have been doing.

talk later,
s

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well Sterling - BIG HUGS TO YOU TO GET BETTER. So nice to have good friends around isn't it Shannon. I'm sure your RAK was much appreciated today. I guess you could say our RAK was going to Joe and Lynne Unger's dispersal sale. I'm sure by having Faye and I sitting beside Lynne, she did okay. We had a very nice lunch before the sale started and she wasn't sure if she could even eat her meal but did finish it and felt good. The sale went very, very well according to the lady I was sitting beside. She said Joe and Lynne did very well. After the sale, we sat and had coffee together and Lynne said her and Joe felt very good at the way things went. She was still sad but having them sell for such a good price made it a little easier. Faye and I quite enjoyed the first experience - not sure if I'll go to another one unless someone needs support but glad we went. We just finished supper and Stan is going to play walleyball with some men and I'm going over to a friend's house to watch a movie with all the other ladies whose husbands are playing walleyball. Hope it's a comedy - we all need a good laugh!

Kaeden - hope your mouth is feeling better after yesterday - did you get a filling? Hope you didn't spill too much from your mouth while trying to drink something. That is the hardest thing to do with freezing in your mouth. BIG HUGS TO YOU!

Tomorrow we're heading out to Linda's about 9:30 a.m.for our coffee get-together. Hope the weather cooperates. Yesterday, we had a big blizzard and if it does that tomorrow, I won't be driving anywhere.

Take care everyone!

RAK - snowbloweed all my nighbors walks and driveways. Actually it is fun, but the neighbors beside us are away and it snowed a lot and I thought they would appreciate not having to do work when they got back. Sorry about the sickness Sterling, and Kaedo quick recovery. We too are amazed at how fast Christmas has snuck up on us - we only have 6 days of work left and I do not think that I am mentally prepared for it yet.
We too had a sick child for the last week or so. Jacob had an ear infection and I beleive he is still teething. Made for some rough nights, but I am sure you all can relate and tell me your horror stories. Jacob has his Christmas concert on the 19th and I will update the blog soon. So far I have only been able to keep watch of your blog on my school laptop. Keep blogging and talk soon.

I am RAKing my brain but the only thing I can think of for today is that I talked very softly this morning while Denis and Dave were nursing hangovers. We also let them sleep in 'til 7.30 am. That was Dayle's RAK also. Does this qualify??
