On the 3rd and 4th day of Advent...

My true love (mom) gave to me...
$1 each (Dec 3) and some lifesavers caaannnndy. (Dec 4)
As for Sunday's sleeping together. Big fight ensued and so that was called off. It was re-scheduled for last night and I could hear the boys giggling and having some fun. I don't mind them staying up a bit later if they have no problems getting up in the morning. No problems today.
They are taking turns opening the boxes and are having quite a good time. I asked them this morning if they would rather just have candy and they said it was more fun to not know what was going to happen each day. "Besides mom, you let us eat candy already".

Working today and just enjoying being in my nice warm house. A book is playing, the dog is sleeping, the diet coke is flowing, which means the bathroom is getting a workout!

Parent/Teacher interviews start tonight. Kaedo's is at 4pm. Sterling's is tomorrow night. Sterling has Spanish today and is very excited. He loves it. Today is a hard day for him as he has Spanish until 5pm and then has BBall from 7-8:15pm and doesn't get home until about 8:45pm. We still have to fit supper and homework around that. This is the only hard night we have but it really takes it's toll on him. Unfortunately both of these activities are throughout the school year. We may have to get up a little earlier on Tuesday mornings to get organized. We shouldn't have any problems considering they only get up at 8:30 and school starts at 9:10am. We'll see.

Had a question about school pictures. Yes, the boys both got retakes. We have got them back and they are fantastic. Especially Sterling's. He is so photogenic. Kaedo isn't sure how to smile for the camera yet, so his is a little more forced. Still looks adorable, though. The orders for the pix have to be in by Dec. 10, so I will post/send out once we get them. I don't expect them until after Christmas.

OK - that's it - hope everyone enjoys their day.
talk later,
s

How fun this Advent calendar is for you guys. The memories will be fantastic.

Really looking forward to hearing about your PT interview, Sterling. Good for you Kaedo, you were a star once again. Congratulations on your second stripe also. We are so looking forward to receiving those school photos. Our new motorhome has a shelf especially for photos of grandchildren. It must hold at least twenty photos. No girls, please don't.

We are in Williston, N.D. We were supposed to be in Deadwood tonight, eating prime rib, playing the slots, however, we arrived at noon and somehow the ambiance wasn't there...so we moved further north. We did stop in Sturgis and Wall so that was entertaining. We went to the Chamber of Commerce in Sturgis and dad asked the girl how many people were there for the rally this year. She said about 250,000 which was less than normal. Dad asked why is that. She said because everyone is gearing up for 2009 because that's the 69th anniversary. Dad asked why is that so special. I burst out laughing, she said they probably wouldn't be selling any Tee shirts at the Chamber that year as the designs would be far too risque for that department, Dad actually went red as a beet. It was hilarious. He said he'd never even thought that was the reason. Not too often your dad misses something like that. I'm still laughing, you had to be there.

It's friggin' freezin' here. We have room 244 which is upstairs (outside stairs) and between staircases. 249 rooms in this place and only two left. Great room for the price. Free internet, fridge, micro, coffee, everything that the Ritz offers, except the price and the clientele, that figures, we're here.

Hope you can make it tomorrow Stan & Shirley. We'll call you from Moose Jaw. Sorry we're a day early but we really need an Emma fix, oh yeah, Jessica and Ken too.

Love to all
