on the 16th day of Advent...

my true love sent to me...
post it notes shaped in a K and an S
and a lot of mess from our dog Errrnnniiieee

Once again, the advent calendar came after the Ernie mess, but it was not forgotten. Both boys are continuously writing notes, drawing pictures, etc, so this is fun for then.

Ernie got into some mischief last night. Kaedo just got all the water put in the armoire yesterday and last night Ernie decided to make and mess and dump it all out. He also took his jar of beads and spread them out too. What a mess. The boys loved it. Sterling graciously cleaned up the mess, so I guess tomorrow is Kaedo's turn. Ernie almost hid last night and it was only at the last minute did they feed him. Last year, if Ernie wasn't fed and watered before they went to bed, he hid, pondering the fact that maybe he should return to the North Pole. Thankfully he always decided to stay and the boys found him. I was concerned that might be the possibility last night, as they had dragged him with them all day and probably wanted to sleep with them. However, they got him all set up (they think he might have been eating croutons right out of the bag!) and all was well.

The interesting thing about Ernie is how quiet he is. We never hear a thing. I really do appreciate his thoughtfulness. The thought of being up all night listening to him scurrying around the house would be too much to bare.
He seems to be as good natured as last year and he hasn't had any accidents in the house - to which I am eternally grateful!

On to other things -
did not leave the house yesterday. I felt like someone was repeatedly sticking a fork in my eye. There was no bowling and my shopping is done so I had no reason to go out. Couldn't someone have broken an arm or something?????
It will be much the same today. It is snowing and there really isn't anything to do. Boo Hoo!

Hope you are having a good day and that all is well wherever you are,
talk later,
s

Who's having the most fun, you or the kids? Thank goodness they clean up after Ernie, it looks like a lot of work just messing up.

The tree is up here but not decorated yet. Ken will be home mid week and then we'll do it. The gift wrapping has started and the purchase of holiday food is well underway. It beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.

We're going to Calgary tomorrow to pick up some gifts for the Calgary crew, etc. I have an 11 am appointment and we'll take mom for lunch after that. We figure if we leave here around 6.30 am we'll get everything done in good time. Here's hoping anyway. We do have some "have to do shopping" so that will get done first.

Look forward to seeing Stan and Shirley this week. Let us know if lunch or supper is more convenient for you.

Have just downloaded all my photos, that weren't already done, onto my external hard drive. There are tens of thousands and I'm not exaggerating. Another job well done and glad it's done.

Love to all
