Not too much going on today. Kaedo had his "get together for the heck of it" this afternoon and so he went over to his friend's house at 1pm (until 6 - brave parents). Sterling and I went and picked up a book for Kaedo's friend whose birthday party is tomorrow. I am more than willing to buy books for kids. Love it. It is the "Uncle John's Bathroom Reader for Kids". Kaedo and Sterling each have a copy of one and they love them. Sterling and I got home around 2:15pm and he proceeded to play video games with Craig all afternoon. Craig played football this morning and enjoyed that too. Not too much tomorrow. Kaedo will be playing Laser Tag with his friends in the afternoon and I will spend some of my morning making my weekly phone call.

Sounds like you had a fun day today. Dad & I got outside around 9:30 a.m. and worked till 12:30 when we got a call from Bill & Margaret. They were travelling through from Cypress and I invited them over for homemade soup and buns. They got here around 12:45 and when we were done lunch, we put coffee on for Ed & Marion to come over for abit of a visit. We had apple pie & coffee and Ed & Marion left around 3:30 and Bill & Margaret shortly after. Dad got into watching Sask/Calgary football game and what a game!! After the game was over we went back outside and got everything done. It's kind of sad thinking summer is over and it looks so bare outside on the deck. Maybe we should have put the Christmas lights up while it's nice out because we usually do it when it's cold - too soon though! Not too much on for the evening. Tomorrow we'll go to church and for lunch with Robert & Barb. Joyce came last night on the bus, so we'll probably get together with her in the afternoon for abit. She's staying at Jim & Roberta's. Talk to you tomorrow!

BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Look forward to our Sunday morning chat as always, it's a highlight of the week.

Last night Emma stayed over and it was a really fun time. Her mom picked her up for ballet at 10 and I headed for Calgary to have a one on one visit with my mom. Dad stayed home and put ceramic tile in the bathroom of the motor home. It looks great. Jessica had a delicious supper waiting when I got home around 7.45, so that was a real treat. We're under the gun now as the motor home is being serviced on Saturday morning at 9 and we have quite a bit to do before we put it in storage until Dec 26 at 6 a.m. That's about the only firm plans we have, we're out of here on the 26th at 6 and hope to make Pocatello Idaho that night. That makes the rest of the journey a snap unless something unforeseen happens. The first day is the easiest to do the big push to warm weather. We have never been gone by 6 a.m. regardless of where we went unless we had a plane to catch so I'm not holding out much hope in that department. All we know is that we have that bug again, called the travel bug and it's driving us crazy, can't wait to go. Hope to get to see Stan & Shirley in November. We have friends in Shaunavon we hope to visit also. We have lots going on in the next two months and the calendar is filling up fast. It's very weird how busy the fall is compared to spring, but I'm sure everyone is like that. There just seems to be more to celebrate in the fall from Thanksgiving, Hallowe'en, and Christmas seems to start at the end of November. Christmas parties in January used to be fun but we'd miss them now so we're very glad to go to all the November and December ones. We missed them all last year as we left in November. We're looking forward to this year's. The Xmas spirit is alive and well and it's not Hallowe'en yet. I think you must feel the same way Shirley as you felt like putting up your Xmas lights.

Love to all
