Dear Mom and Dad...

Dear mom and dad,

I'm sorry. I didn't realize and now I do. I'm shocked you didn't do more at the time. Yell, scream, threaten. Right now I feel like doing all three. My son has been playing the same song over and over again for an hour so loud that my fillings are rattling and if I ever meet the artist you will have to put me in cuffs so I don't beat him within an inch of his life. So, I'm sorry - for all those evenings you had to listen to "La Isla Bonita" by Madonna - while I rewound and fast forwarded dying to learn the lyrics. I'm sorry music was ever invented and I'm sorry for the permanent twitch you get whenever you hear music from the 80's and recall my warbling voice.

I hope you'll forgive me.
Now if only I can keep myself from going downstairs and smashing that iPod with a hammer!

I love you,
Shannon

Hahahaha! Honestly, I don't remember and one day you won't either. I don't think I minded what you girls did as long as you did it at home. We were always just so happy that you were there. I do remember the parties, three rooms cleared of furniture, and the music really loud. We really did have great neighbors. As you got older and the deck was used for smoking (we didn't want to know what) it got a little scarier but they are all great memories. Enjoy the noise, the house gets really quiet way too soon. The phrase "Rock On" is dated but keep up the good work Sterling.

We left Tampa today, didn't get out of there until noon. Had so many people stop to say goodbye that we really are glad we had the alarm set for 7.30. Won three games of Lightning Bingo last night and was threatened with being thrown into the pool. Had I won again, I think I would have passed my card to my neighbor and let her yell Bingo. I told everyone we needed it for gas and they all understood that, lol. People were really trying to get us to commit to come back next year but it's way too soon to do that. Really loved the park and the people.

We are now in Old Town, about 175 km from Tampa. It took us 4 hours to get here, taking all the back roads. Not much in Old Town itself but a couple of days worth of sightseeing and cruising about 40 km from here. Hope the weather is calm tomorrow so we can go out on the Gulf. I have my seasick bracelets in my purse already.

Hope you went to the Casino and won some money Stan and Shirley. Glad you had a great weekend in Moose Jaw. I know what you mean about your mom. My mom is the same and it is very sad. I'm #3 on her speed dial and she phones every day but never remembers we're away.

Love to all
