School soccer tryouts start tomorrow and guess who's trying out? Both of them!!! Kaedo's background made it seem like the perfect fit and Sterling's gym teacher (the soccer coach) approached him about trying out for goalie. As of this morning, they both are up for the challenge - we'll see if they both want to go tomorrow. I'm excited. If they both make it, they'll play on the same team. Cool. Do they make lettermans jackets in middle school? haha. Seriously though, can I paint my face gold and purple to support the team????

That would be great if both boys got on the same team for soccer - good luck guys!

It is a beautiful morning here again but the sounds of it, next week won't be so we'll be getting out and enjoy it. Of course, not till after the Sask football game this afternoon. Hope they show up again like they did last week.

Just getting ready for Church and they've changed back to 2 services - one at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. We always seem to be up early enough to take in the 9:30 one but then we wouldn't have our lunch get-together with family & friends which we enjoy. After the football game, Darold Beisel is trying to get a pickle game going. We'll have to see how hot it gets today before we commit. Hope your day is going well and we'll catch up with you later.

Love you lots - BIG HUGS TO ALL!

You sure can paint your face, whatever colour is required. Wow! It is great that they are both trying out. I'm quite surprised as the last time we talked to Kaedo he said he'd do a clinic but not play. Good for you both and good luck in the tryouts. The team will be fortunate to have you so we hope whoever is picking the team knows that.

Great day at Hell's Gate yesterday. It was great value also as they had a museum, 3 short films, great salmon chowder and the ride is always a treat, watching all the nervous people holding on for dear life. Thought of you Kaedo, not somewhere we'd bring you. I was so afraid of heights until middle age so there is a chance of outgrowing it. The only small disappointment was the highway through the Fraser Canyon. We remember it being slow, lots of curves and hairpins and always having the river in view. The road is new, banked, heavily treed and not nearly as scenic as it was in the 70s and 80s. The road still goes through the tunnels and uses the same bridges but the bulk of it has been moved away from the river.

Another beautiful day today.

Love to all

Missed lots of blogging . . . where to start? Well it would be amazing if you got to play on the same team, good luck. Shannon it would be OK if you painted your face , as long as you are a fan not a fanatic!!!!! Good luck with football this year Craig, wish I could still play. My knee kills me sometimes - can't make the cuts like I used to . . . . possibly can't see the ball like I used to either. Jacob was wondering if your team was called the Oilers?????? Nice arrangement of the house and we feel the lengthy school year as you do. Cool video of Kaeden - you have inspired me again to try something with Jacob's hockey clips. I even signed up for vimeo. Hope all is well with you guys.
