Fall is Here - almost!

Before it gets too cold, we thought we should take down the trampoline for the season. This included a lot of grumbling about having to take it down and some stern talking to but all in all it got completed and put away. I thankfully was away during the tear down, but did help in getting everything loaded into the garage. Kaedo helped by passing everything to Craig and I put everything at the edge of the garage to make for easy access for Kaedo. Craig climbed up into the crawl space above the garage and put everything back into the box.

Sterling was enlisted to mow the front and back lawns as I figure this will be the last time of the season. At 13 they are allowed to run the mower, so he still thinks it's fun and doesn't mind the job.

Do you remember when the pool and trampoline took over the entire backyard? This is the ultimate proof that Summer is over.

Good evening - I sat down this morning to comment back to you and thought it went through but apparently NOT! It must be cyberspace somewhere.

Good work getting everything put away for winter - two willing young fellows to help with getting it all put away and mowing the lawn. Your yard looks much bigger without trampoline and pool in it.

Stan's been taking it easy again today - not too much pain but icing to keep the swelling down. I was doing some baking and needed some cherry jello so asked if Stan wanted to walk to the corner store. He agreed and we left around 3:00 p.m. By then it had clouded over and dropped 2 degrees from the morning. We made it home before it rained and he did pretty good. What I paid for the jello, I said this dessert had better turn out. I couldn't believe they would charge $1.99 for a small box of jello but I guess a corner store can charge anything they want. By the way, the dessert turned out to be quite delicious.

I'm just sitting down to do some more typing for Elections Canada so best get at it. Hope this goes through this time.

Hope you all had a great Monday - BIG HUGS TO ALL!

It's sad to see the passing of summer. Your back yard looked way more fun with the pool and trampoline assembled and ready for fun. Sterling, don't be fooled, mowing is a job, not supposed to be fun.

It was a beautiful day here today so we went to Cultis Lake and had lunch and played 18 holes. The course was just beautiful with colourful trees and loads of flowers, gazebos and decorative touches everywhere, including some really challenging bunkers and water hazards.

Thank goodness for GPS. We really need it in the city to find our way around. Tomorrow we plan to take the Skytrain to the Seabus to the bus and head to Capilano Bridge and Grouse Mountain. We needed the GPS to figure out how to get to the Skytrain Station. The park and ride will be so much more enjoyable, considering the venues we want to do, than driving the car. Between the Skytrain, Seabus and buses on the Northshore we'll either get totally lost or the adventure will be a super bonus. At $7.00 each for a day pass you just can't go wrong. Our picnic is already packed but knowing us we'll have it for a snack and eat out on the top of the mountain.

Had a really awesome time last night with the cousins. Danny has 6 children. Three of them are graduates, one is graduating this year, one is three and one is one. Quite an age difference and what a super family they are. Also so enjoyed seeing Sue and Rick who we just love. Laura and Dan made a wonderful meal and the time just flew by.

We are really not looking forward to leaving here and this wonderful weather. Hopefully, Kelowna will be just as lovely. Hope everyone is having great weather.

Love to all
