First day of school and the kids LOVED it! Don't get me wrong, they would rather have summer all year round but they were really happy with how their day went and were thrilled with their teachers. Kaedo was a little concerned about his as he had never had him for anything before but he really liked him, so that was a plus. He's the one I worry about as he is so adverse to school.
As I wasn't going to be taking them this morning, I wrote them each a note and tucked it into their lunchbags - they really liked it. Thank god! Sterling had Kraft Dinner for lunch and Kaedo had cereal. I picked them up from school - there were about a million cars there - and now we are just getting ready for the last soccer game of the season and getting back into the routines of back to school and all that entails.
Thanks to everyone who wished the boys well on their first day. It really meant a lot to all of us.
Kaedo's pencil case - I swear he has been collecting pencils since 2nd grade! There must be 100 of them!

So glad to hear the boys had a great day. Wonderful that Kaeden was thrilled with his teacher and hope his year goes well with him. I'm sure they loved reading the note from you Shannon. Speaking of notes, did they find the ones from us?
Hope you had fun at your soccer game Kaeden. We sure enjoyed watching you play while we were there - you did a GREAT job. Interesting pencil case of Kaeden's - are you sure it isn't a small suitcase?
It is a beautiful day here again today - I think our summer has arrived. It's really perfect weather because it gets really nice and hot during the day and as soon as the sun goes down, it cools off for evening. I'm just getting ready to head down to Fabutan to meet Linda and Roberta. Our plans are to head out to Herbert this afternoon for a visit with mom. It sure is taking some getting used to making plans before we go out there. Hope mom is in a good mood because it gets very depressing for us as well when she's not happy. Not sure what Stan has planned for the day - he's still waiting for his call from the hospital regarding his surgery on the 15th and they left a message saying they would call either Wed. or Thurs. They need information from him so he feels he needs to sit by the phone waiting for their call. He's going to call before lunch to see if he can get hold of the girl who left the message so he doesn't have to sit around waiting.
