Tree Decorating 101

As Craigmas officially finished at midnight on December 20, on December 21, we prepared for our tree decorating party. Craig and I picked up all the goodies (each person got one choice), potato skins (yum), cheese sticks, jalapeno poppers and sausage rolls. We listened to music, pigged out and decorated our very beautiful tree. The highlight ornaments are always lovingly placed on the tree - my ornaments from my uncle, the wreath that Kaedo made (Craig's favorite), Sterling's wonderful angel and a new special ornament given to me by my GG. Our first year without her and I thought of her a lot. Now she has a special place on our tree decorating day.

What a great Christmas! It was wonderful. Thanks you for all your wonderful gifts. I'm leaving the books until the quieter time. We are so glad that you enjoyed all yours. It is always so fun to pick out things and know that you enjoy them. Glad you got all your gift card shopping done Sterling. I thought the wallet was really you, glad you liked it. Kaeden, I'm sure Christmas was at a slower pace so that you could get photos of everything. Glad you liked your case also. We enjoyed the fact that we could help with the purchase of the computer and camera. I know that this was a true family gift as your Sask. family also helped with the purchase. How much more family could that be???

We had a really fun day yesterday touring the Miracle Mile Shops and trying to find good leather boots for me that weren't too expensive. Failed!! The boots I loved were the price of a car. Jessica and I headed to the casino last night and between all the black and white Russians, fun was had my all. I love the Russians as I never have a headache or feel gross the next day. We had a very lengthy session but didn't lose too much money, I don't think.

Today, we left Vegas and headed 2-1/2 hours south to Lake Havasu. The park is pretty upscale with cassetas and palm trees and pools and hot tubs, and you name it, they have it. Our friends, the Rasmussens, are just a couple of roads over. We plan to head out pretty soon to have a birthday supper for Jessica. We couldn't have cake as she's on a no carb eating regimen. How does one stick to such a diet while on vacation? She does, and good on her.

Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week.

Love to all

From Jessica - We are having such a lovely time down south. The weather isn't great by Cali/Ari/Nev standards but it's -22 in Medicine Hat today so I'm loving it!!! Christmas was amazing. Had such a wonderful time. Disneyland never loses it's magic. I'm so glad you guys received your gift cards on time and intact. Imagine my horror when I went to insure the package with frickety fracking Canada Post to find out that you can only insure $100 in gift cards per package. I would have had to send 6 individual packages!!! Talk about a racket. Pretty sure Canada Post is worse than the mob. I hope I helped in the 'TV' effort, Craig. I am quite sure I lost some popularity with my sister. Ha Ha. I'm quite upset that the Bath and Body Works gift card isn't working, Shannon, but I'm glad the rest seem to be working. I have the receipt for all the cards at home and will check on it as soon as I get back. Guess your hand lotion will have to wait a couple weeks. As for you two, my gorgeous nephews, use your Old Navy cards to buy pants that don't hang down around your knees, the Subway cards to produce big farts, and the Visa cards to buy crap that will annoy your mother. Bhahahahaha. In a perfect world evil music would be playing right now. Love you all so so so much.

Your tree does look beautiful and your "goodies" look delicious!! Sounds like our kind of Christmas Eve evenings we used to have around our place as well. Kelly & Petrica arrived on Christmas Eve but were very tired from their trip so we all headed to bed early. Christmas Day turned out wonderful and after Linda & I took mom back to Pioneer Lodge, we came back and played "Chicken Foot" with dominoes. Phil & his girlfriend, Michelle arrived yesterday in time for supper and then we watched "Christmas With The Kranks" movie - laughed till I cried! Today Mike, Phyllis & Danny arrived in time for lunch - so we've had a very busy time but lots of fun.

Talk to you soon - BIG HUGS TO ALL!
