Anyone who knows me knows I am PROUD of my kids. Really. Proud. They amaze me on a daily basis. Today however, I am beaming. Everyone has seen Kaedo`s long hair over the past six months. He keeps growing it with the intention of cutting it for the soccer season. Over the weekend we started talking about Sterling`s friend C who grew out his hair and cut it for `Locks of Love`, a charity that makes wigs for people who have cancer.
Here`s where the pride comes in - Kaedo has decided to donate his hair for a wig as well. There is a Canadian organization that does it through the hair care company PANTENE, and I think that is who he has decided to go through. He needs 8 inches, which he has now, but he doesn't want a pig shave so he's going to keep growing it through the Summer and come Fall when he has a little more growth, he's going to do it.

Good for you Kaedo! Baba grew his hair for that reason also but they wouldn't take it because it was grey and it was curly. He was not too pleased. I know they'll want your gorgeous hair.
Packing today at Jessica's. She had a lot of it done but it seems never ending. The goodwill will not need any childrens' clothes for at least a year, that's how many I packed up today. There are still multiple boxes of clothes that they still wear, if the washer broke down for a year or so, they might be in trouble.
Much cooler here in this part of the country than you lucky people are experiencing. Hope we don't bring cold weather with us.

That is such a wonderful thing for you to do Kaeden! Auntie Linda took her pony tail (when she was in Grade 6, she had really long hair and decided to cut it very short but has kept the pony tail all these years)to one of the hair shops in town here and gave it to them for a wig. She found it hard to do but knew in the end, someone would benefit from it. Kaeden - you are the cooles.kid.ever!! Love you so much.
Yes Irene, it is much, much cooler here isn't it. We put all our winter jackets away about 3 weeks ago and now we wear layers. The wind continues to blow very cold air.
