Drumroll please.....

First off let me say that WE ARE SO HAPPY that Stan and Shirley are here. It has been great seeing them. However, I figure I better get to what we have all been waiting for - Sterling got his BIKE!

We got up yesterday morning and got ready to go and get them from the airport and Sterling could not contain his excitement - "I get my bike today, I get my bike today", was a running monologue all morning. Once we picked them up, Sterling was certain we would go directly to the bike shop. We, however, planned to make him sweat it out a little. Yes, we are evil. We stopped on the way home and had lunch at Costco and then teased Sterling that we should walk around a bit. We didn't but you should have seen the look on his face. Haha. After that we went home we proceeded to give Shirley her birthday present. We let her go first as her birthday was this week. I have to hand it to Sterling, he was quite patient, all things considered. After Shirley had opened her gift, we let Sterling open his cards from them and Antica and Uncle Kelly and the littles. He was thrilled and now he knew he had all them money he needed for his bike.

He texted N and told him to be ready - he wanted to go with Sterling - so off they went. He finished paying for his bike and then sat through the photo ops.

He LOVES it! Once he had picked it up and tried it out he and N went back to his place, where he proceeded to ride his new bike - in the rain and all - for 4 hours. He only came home because it was the only time someone would come get him. While waiting for supper he was out with Kaedo riding and has plans this morning to go to the skate park before he starts his day with gramma and grampa.

To say he is happy with his purchase is an understatement. We are so thrilled for him and can't thank you all enough for your generous gifts to the bike fund!

He is one happy kid!

It was great being there with Sterling get his new bike. He was so excited it was really very funny listening to him. It's wonderful that he's able to get to ride it before the snow flies.

When we came home before Sterling could go get his bike, I got to open my b'day presents and lots and lots of my favorite - butterflies! Then for supper, Shannon had baked a yummy, yummy chocolate b'day cake for Stan & I and we got sung to and had to both blow out candles.

We are hoping for nice weather today to take in Buskerfest this afternoon and the Blue Jay game this evening. Right now it is overcast but we hope no rain.

We haven't taken a picture of us standing beside the boys but I know they have stretched up lots since Christmas.

Looking forward to the rest of our day with the boys.

BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Same thing happened to me the first time I commented from Shannon's computer, Shirley. She can fix it though, lol.

Sooo happy for you Sterling. You look really good on that bike. That must be your favorite T shirt also because we see you in it more than any other. Great to have a comfortable favorite outfit.

Hope your weather holds up for the fun day you have planned. We are very warm here at Christina Pines which is about 2 km. from Christina Lake General Store. Lovely place surrounded by trees and mountains. Had a great trip here over the last two days. Stayed in Yahk last night, a wonderful spot right on the river. Left the blinds and windows open all night just so we could hear the sound of the water rushing by. Loads to do around here and we are booked in until the 6th of September.

Have a great time everyone.

Love to all
