Tuesday already?

So, I know you don't check the blog 13 times a day waiting to see what I have posted, but I do want to apologize for not posting sooner. Reminds me of someone I know, who shall remain nameless, who hasn't updated their blog since December 29th. For all we know their child could be driving a car by now.
I can't believe it is Tuesday already. Snowboarding on Sunday and it was great. Sterling is just loving it. Kaedo is too but I think he hit the wall on Sunday morning and was so tired that he was not too enthused to spend 90 minutes on the hill. In saying that, he did awesome and even went down the hill three times by himself. Unfortunately I didn't get it on video but will try better next week. Sterling is just cruisin' and going down the hill over and over again. He is doing great and just has to learn to take one more kind of turn and his instructor said he would take him on the chair lift. Oh god!
Yesterday we had tennis and it was good as usual. Kaedo loves to go and watch and would rather come with us than go to TKD. It is nice to have him there. I watch a bit and read magazines or my book. It is in a dome and yesterday it was damn cold in there. I was wishing for my gloves. Once we got home we had supper and then did homework, showers, reading (Sterling) and prepared for our Monday night ritual - American Gladiators. Love that show. The boys love it too. We pick our competitor we are going to cheer for at the beginning and cheer them on right to the end. Kaedo especially can name all the Gladiators and Sterling is quick to name all the events. It really is amazing. The level of fitness and drive and showmanship that goes into this show is excellent. Definitely a family favorite. I know you would love it, dad.
Today is our busy day but I think things may be a little quieter than normal. Sterling isn't feeling too well but, "It's too boring at home. I'd rather go to school". At this point he doesn't think he will stay for Spanish or participate at Basketball tonight. We'll see if he calls. Kaedo has TKD and Laura takes him tonight. It sure helps me and I'm glad we can trade off nights. Tomorrow is my turn.
Ok - that's about it. Hope you have a good day,
talk later,
s

** tried to get video of Sterling to post with no luck. I will try and get Craig to do it later.

Another busy week ahead - doesn't time go by fast when we're having so much fun! Sounds like the boys are doing great with their snowboarding and video is great!

Talk about cold!!! With the wind chill factor here in S.C. - it's -50 degrees!!! But that doesn't stop us tough Saskatchewan people from going out - no sirreee. Stan is my driver and dropped me off for Line Dancing. There were 9 ladies there! Usually around 28 - 30 - BIG CHICKENS!! Stan and Hank went for coffee and picked us girls up after. Did a few errands and went for a quick lunch with Hank & Jewel. Stan came home and off to his hockey at noon. He should be done pretty quick.

We started recovering our kitchen chairs on Saturday and we have all the seats done on them and started working on the backs last night. The backs have 2 seams that have to be sewn so I got out my old Singer sewing machine. I was worried it wouldn't sew very well but it did great. Was ready to start on the 3rd one when all of a sudden big sparks came from the plug connected to the machine and it died. Stan tried fixing it last night but didn't work so he's taking it to a sewing place after hockey to see if they can help. We were hoping to get it all done today but we'll have to see.

We just got confirmation this morning from Petrica's mom, Phyllis, that we have their Time Share in Kelowna for a week starting March 29 - April 5, 2008. We were planning a trip to Penticton for mom's brother Alan's 90th b'day on April 5. Phyllis called to see if we would be interested in using their Time Share in Kelowna and it had to be used by May 1. We thought this would work out perfect so told Phyllis to go ahead and book. She called this morning to say that she got the last one for that week! We called Dennis & Elaine Giesbrecht who live in Chilliwack and asked if they needed to get away for awhile - so they are joining us! I know Craig and Shannon - you can hardly believe that we would have company!! Should be lots of fun. Then on Saturday, April 5, we'll head down to Penticton for the b'day celebration. Jim & Cathy are planning on being there and Gary is flying in from Vancouver and then they will go back with him for a visit. Don & Joyce are planning on coming, Jim & Roberta and mom as well. Jean & Lionel thought they would go to Kelowna to visit Bretta and could come down as well. Sam's cows will be calving so he won't be able to make it but we're going to try and get Linda coming as well. Something always to be looking forward to - speaking of which - we can hardly wait to see the boys this summer!

Hope you're all having a great day!

BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Looking good Kaedo. Isn't the hill the best place to be on a winter weekend? It sure brings back a snowtruck load of great memories for Baba and I from when your Mom and Auntie were your age and older. It probably got a little much for them but Baba and I had a great time.

We moved to San Benito today, a whole 10 miles from where we were. It is 29C, sorry Stan and Shirley. This park has 1400 "Winter Texan" parking sites. Palm trees in abundance, activities to a point that you'd have to set your alarm to get up early enough to get started on them. We plan to go to the Aloe Vera farm tomorrow for a tour, then to the Commemorative Air Force Museum. Now that the weather has improved we really want to take our chairs, books and picnic hamper to Isla Blanca Park, the "biggest and best park in Texas" according to the visitor info. There is so much to do that we have a hard time knowing where to start. There is a beautiful Greyhound track here, way more upscale than some of the ones we've frequented. We will definitely be going there for dinner one night or two. We both love the dog races and they seem to pay way better than the horses.

Love to all

As a matter of fact he is driving - I guess it is just his Little Tikes car, but it is still driving. However, guss I am assuming that you are talking about my blog- should never assume! Thanks for the reminder i did not realize that it has already been a month since the last post.
We have had issues with daycare, Jacob has had sores in his mouth and we have been fighting our daycare because they will not take him when his mouth is bad. Mom and Dad came up to help out and it was a life saver. Now the daycare has had an outbreak of Norwalk and the daycare is shutdown - thank God we have a great friend who will take care of him from now on. No excuses, because everyone is busy, nut the computer has not been on very much lately. Things will change - I will post picutres of the "snow situation" here in the Northern Prairies.
Great Job Kaeden and Sterling - the lessons look like they are going well.
