Deck The Halls

What a great afternoon! My VGF (very good friend) Laura came over and we made these awesome trees. So fun and easy to do. Guess I better start pulling out my Christmas decorations! It was so nice just to hang out, have some treats, poke ourselves in the finger, help each other make the monumental decisions as to where a certain button should go.

It's always nice to spend time with someone you care about. Who would have known 4 years ago that we would become such great friends. Thanks, Laura - I love you.

sorry the pix aren't great but that's the way it goes

Great work, ladies. I don't know where you got your talent from Shannon, Laura probably got hers from her mother. Glad you had a wonderful afternoon. Good friends are SOOOO important. You're very lucky, I know, because I have some too and I feel blessed. I took out my Xmas candle that Jan gave me last year and it looks kind of lonely, so I'll have to dig out some more. The Xmas spirit is creeping up for sure. We spent the day at Macy's and people were so kind. I didn't have a newspaper coupon, so every till I went to, someone shared theirs. Everyone was calm and laid back and the sales were fantastic, it was quite an upbeat experience. I hate shopping but I couldn't get enough of it today. We are all done except for the person in the family who drives a Harley, who will remain nameless. He is impossible to buy for. It's our annual challenge.

Love to all, the dogs are calling, first race is at 7pm

WOW Shannon & Laura - very talented young ladies!!! You could maybe sell them at a craft show and make a little spending money! I agree, it is very important to have great friends and also wonderful daughter-in-laws when you don't have daughters!! I love mine dearly! Glad to hear you had a fun afternoon together.

I'm going out for a luncheon with about 12 ladies from our church tomorrow and then to a Victorian tea in the afternoon with mom and Jewel. Then for supper, we've been invited by Gord & Sandra to go out for supper (their treat) along with Robert and Barb and then when we're done we're going over to Gord & Sandra's to try and beat the men at Canasta. Should be lots of fun.

Sunday of course is Grey Cup!!! YEH SASKATCHEWAN!! Linda invited Stan and I to come out to their place to watch it so we'll probably take mom along and head out around 3:30 or so.

Hope you have a great weekend and we'll talk to you soon.

BIG HUGS TO ALL!
