Sunday 12 February 2012

This picture was taken in Feb 2005. My goodness. Sometimes I am awestruck at how much they have grown. I know I shouldn't be but I am. Sterling more and more reminds me of Baba with his stature and build and bear-like hugs. Kaedo is tinier and much thinner in build is getting so much bigger himself. Yesterday I had my arm around his shoulder and it was uncomfortable. We checked out the height board in the kitchen and both boys have grown about 2 inches since Sterling's birthday. Yikes!

As hard as it is to see them grow up, I'm just loving these teenage years. My god, so great. I know there will be many more ups and downs but I am just loving it.

Anyway, enough gushing love about my two most favorite people. Happy Sunday!

Love photos from your archives! This one is too cute.

Hope you're having a fun Sunday - we went to church, came home for lunch, relaxing, going over to Robert & Barb's for a pizza supper and cards in the evening. It is blue sky, sun shining and -1 today - another gorgeous day in February.

BIG HUGS TO ALL!

My goodness, hard to believe how they change and grow. They were good lookin' then and they still are. The teenage years were probably my favorite, I guess from 11 up. So much fun and so much interaction. I hated getting on the floor and playing dolls but I loved the loud music and the noisy house.

Friday, we did take the tour train and thoroughly enjoyed our guide. It is devastating what Katrina did here in Biloxi and New Orleans was the only place that got any publicity. 5000 houses and businesses were flattened, 50 died and the population went from 50,000 to 28,000. The weather forecast said Katrina would miss here by 200 miles, oops! After the tour we went to the visitor centre museum and it was terrific. Yesterday, we spent a few hours at the Ohr O'Keefe museum, They have an African American building and the art was awesome. The pottery exhibit was incredible also. We also toured the seedier side of town as we always like to go off the tourist track. Today was laundry first and foremost. We then toured the other side of the Bay, collected money from the Boomtown and IP casinos. We then went to the Palace Casino and left a donation, then on to the Isle where we had a two for one buffet. I hate buffets but Denis ate shrimp and crab for the whole meal. I had some gumbo ( wonderful) and some seafood and salad but I prefer a la carte.

The weather was cool today and they had a weather warning last night because it went down to -2F, we chuckled. It's supposed to be back in the 20s by Tuesday so we hope to spend that day at the beach. It hasn't really been warm enough since we got to Biloxi. Beautiful place here, very laid back and the people are wonderful.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Love to all
