Family day

Hello All -
What a weekend we have had. Hope yours was good too. Yesterday Sterling, N and I headed to Joyride for a day of BMXing (them, not me). They had a wonderful time and were tired and smelly on the ride home. Craig spent the day going to the gym and hanging out at home and Kaedo spent the better part of the day at home and then was invited to the mall with his friend J. Little did we know at the time that the parents were just dropping them off and that they weren't being supervised at the mall. Took me some time to decide if I approved. After talking it over with Craig we decided we were doing things like that at 12.5 years old, so we took a deep breath and were thankful he had his cell phone with him.

You'd think after all the time that Sterling and N spent together they would be sick of each other but they weren't so I took Sterling home to get showered and changed and returned him to Ns house for an evening of computers, gaming and pigging out.

Kaedo was invited to Js house for supper after the mall so Craig and I took to the streets and spent some time together. Didn't do much. We went to the library and then to Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart is one of those stores where I can poke around killing time for an hour and never feel the need to spend money. After looking through bargain bins, housewares and books, we got out of there for $1.08 (a tube of toothpaste).

Craig was kind enough to do pick up duty so I got to change into my pjs early. We spent the rest of the night hanging out. This morning Craig was up bright and early for football (yay!) and the boys and I hung out. The three of them were supposed to head to the gym this afternoon for a "bring your family-it's family day" event. At 11:30am Sterling got a better offer and is now at a Generals game watching from the second row. He has been texting me and is loving every minute. Craig and Kaedo have headed to the gym and I just finished watching a chick flick that no one else would watch with me.

Tomorrow it is back to school and work and I am taking a Hot Yoga class as part of my therapy. If I die I won't be posting here any longer. ha. Wish me luck!

Sounds like a great weekend. So glad Sterling is enjoying his Joyride gift certificates. Too bad it's such a long way from home and that you have to wait around all day in the less than warm building. It's a good excuse to just sit and read though.

We had a horrific storm on Saturday, tornado watch and all. We've never seen rain like that. It lasted about 12 hours. The parades were called off but the pot luck went ahead so we had a nice time there. Sunday and Monday we toured Bay St. Louis. Went to the Hollywood Casino before heading back home, both days. Not enough to retire on but enough for a cup of coffee at McD. I'll send the photos once we move to another park.

We came to McDs as I don't trust the site in our park, both Norton and Microsoft issued warnings and shut me down. Got everything up and running again but won't use it in that park again. Checked everything out and all seems ok.

On our way to Biloxi to see some Mardi Gras Parades. We've been told they were very good there and it beats going to New Orleans for us right now. Next year, we'll plan that a little better, using shuttles, etc. instead of our own vehicle. Must be going as we want to get a parking spot.

Hope you enjoyed your hot yoga. I guess I'll find out in a few minutes.

Love to all

Glad everyone enjoyed your long weekend - they go by way to fast for the working people.

Even with us being retired, the weekend went by very fast and all the long weekends do is make me mixed up as to what day it is!! Had to remind myself that today was Tuesday and Line Dancing and not Monday - Curves. Enjoyed Line Dancing, coffee and then we went to the Legion for lunch with Larry & Faye and Hank & Jewel. Meals are always very good as well as the company. Home now and getting bedroom ready for two little boys for a couple of days.

Glad to hear you didn't get hit by a tornado Denis & Irene and hope you never run into anything like that.

Have a great day - BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Also thinking of you Shannon re: Hot Yoga class. I've never heard of it before but I had never heard of Chair Yoga before either and apparently it is very, very relaxing. A couple of girls go to Chair Yoga after our Line Dancing and they say they are more drained from the Yoga than the dancing. Hope you enjoyed it - love you lots!
