happiness is.....

...rekindling a friendship you thought was gone forever. I am so thrilled that I was able to hook up again with my friend L after 3 years of no contact. We had a wonderful visit and have spent some of our afternoon texting back and forth. She was a wonderful friend to me then and I'm hoping we can return to a new and improved version of that going forward.

Have you made contact with an old friend lately? Do it! It'll make you smile!

Good for you Shannon - does she live close by? It's true, there's nothing like a good friend to talk (or text) to. I guess I've never lost contact with some of my old friends who have moved away. We keep in contact at least every week if not every other week and it seems we take off from where we left off even after a lengthy time apart. Keep her close.

We started out our day cloudy and dull but right after lunch the beautiful blue sky and sun came through. It's abit windy and -6 but nice all the same. We'll take every bit of the "no snow" coming down.

Line Dancing this morning, coffee, I got my eyes checked and she says my prescription is good - no new glasses and then after lunch went for a hair cut. We got a call that our car is all fixed and ready to go. I got to drive it to my haircut and it feels so good to be driving it again. The truck feels so big compared to the car especially when getting through the garage doors.

Hope you all had a great day and things went better for Sterling today. Love you lots - BIG HUGS TO ALL!

So very happy for you Shannon. She is a lovely woman and I know what a good friend she was to you, and will be again, I'm sure.

We went to The Back Porch for lunch today with Ted and Cheryl. We sat out on the patio overlooking the Gulf. It was truly relaxing. Actually it was lupper as we didn't eat until around 3. We then walked for a mile or so along the beach and then came back home for more visiting. We had a super day and look forward to seeing them again in Yuma. Lupper has worked really well for us, as we just have a very light snack in the evening. Denis has lost 11 lbs. and I've lost about 6.

"On the road again" tomorrow, heading to Biloxi along the coast road. We'll have to get off the coast road just west of Pensacola as the ferry from Mobile Point to Dauphin Island doesn't run at this time of year. That kind of sucks. Hard to believe it's off season here until March 15th.

Glad everyone is having such good weather. It showered here early this morning but the sun came out around 10.

Love to all
