had to

While many will say flowers are a waste of money - especially when you don't have any, I have to agree. In saying that - I bought these two beauties at a local greenhouse for $6 on clearance. Aren't they beautiful? I sold one of my hats and used a portion of that money to buy these for the front entry. Flowers have been very important to me this year and they have brought a smile to my face every day. While these won't last more than a month, I like the idea of coming home and seeing these as I walk up to my front door. So, don't judge me - sometimes you just have to eat Kraft Dinner for a week to pay for flowers at your front entry. Haha.

They look lovely, what a nice looking front entry. If flowers bring a smile to your face and happiness to your heart, keep it up. It is a small price for such a wonderful feeling of well-being.

So happy that your hats are being enjoyed by others. If you got a website, you'd have to hire people to help make them as you'd be too busy. I think the way you are using your personal touch to sell them will probably be way more satisfying even if not as rewarding financially. There are starving artists all over the world but they enjoy what they're doing. Wonder if they eat Kraft dinner, lol. Really happy for you Shannon.

Our three closest neighbors pulled out this morning heading for the warmer weather. We won't catch up with them this winter as we're headed in the other direction.

Lunch with a friend today and then supper at Ted and Cheryl's. They rented out their place in Yuma so they could travel this winter. They'll head to Florida also. Would love to meet them in New Orleans for the Big Mardi Gras Parade but that may be a little too early for us to start heading west along the Gulf. Lots of ideas but no plans...so fun.

Hope everyone is having this lovely mild weather.

Love to all

Flowers do put a smile on ones lips - your display in front of your house looks very bright and cheery. Linda gave all us sisters a pink carnation last Friday for the support we've given her through her fight with cancer and it does cheer one up seeing it as you walk in the kitchen.

Just got home from Line Dancing and Stan from coffee. Dennis & Elaine arrived here yesterday around 4:30 p.m. and will probably be here for a week. Dennis's mom's funeral is on Saturday in Herbert and Stan & I are helping serve coffee and cinnamon buns. They have lots of friends in S.C. and our place will probably be a place to hang there hat for the week. We are very comfortable with them and enjoy being together so it will be a fun week.

Congrats on your hats Shannon!! Craig said you even sold your favorite hat - get those fingers clicking to make yourself another one. I wore my scarf yesterday and went to the bank and one of the ladies commented on what a beautiful scarf! I told Craig the only thing was it gets caught very easy and I got it caught in my seat belt and was getting a little panicky thinking I couldn't get out of the car! I love it Shannon.

Not too sure what the rest of the day will bring but I'd better get something thought of for lunch before Dennis & Elaine come back.

Irene - our weather is also very nice here. It was +18 yesterday and only went down to +7 last night. Sun is shining today with abit of wind so yes we'll enjoy this as long as we can.

Take care - BIG HUGS TO ALL!
