Joyride 150

Here are a couple of videos of Sterling at Joyride. He had so much fun and his bike has been such a wonderful gift. Thanks to gramma & grampa and amma & baba who made that happen. This is such a great facility for biking enthusiasts and Sterling and his buddies had a blast - again. Sterling hasn't mentioned his next trip yet but I know he is thinking about it. I can't believe biking season is over now for the outdoor bike parks. It is mid-November, so I suppose it makes sense!

Great videos and what a wonderful bike facility! We are so glad we could help Sterling get something that he loves doing!

Big blizzard didn't happen yesterday but this morning around 9:30 a.m. it started to snow and blow - not sure what's coming although they said the storm warning has been lifted. Hope we don't get too much.

Line dancing this morning and coffee for me, Stan went to his hockey although I wasn't sure he'd be up to it today after his day yesterday. He says he feels a little wiped but thought he'd give hockey a try - he'll probably be on the couch the rest of the afternoon!

Hope you're having a great day - BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Great looking on your bike Sterling. Glad you're enjoying it so much. That looks like an awesome indoor park.

Big winds last night blew out all the clouds and we had lovely weather today. One gust felt so powerful that I thought the motorhome was going to tip over but our neighbor told us it was an earthquake that was centred not too far from here. Power was out this morning but I'm relieved to know that the wind isn't strong enough to blow us over. Earthquakes we can handle since we're in the middle of nowhere so nothing can fall on us...maybe just a few trees.

Great deal today at Safeway. We went in to buy a couple of things and if you spent $25.00 you got a turkey for 29 cents a pound. Our 17.47 lb. young turkey cost $5.07. It is way too big for our BBQ or oven so Denis cut it into 4 pieces and we got 3 in the freezer along with all the other stuff so I guess we'll have turkey within the next day or so. Our total savings with our Safeway card was 45% or $35.44. We saved $17.47 on the turkey alone. How can they do that and still stay in business? We figure for $5.07 we'll get about 20 meals not counting the soup. Out of everything we bought only two items had no discount. The tomatoes, product of Canada, were $1.49 while their tomatoes were $3.99. Go figure. We love to grocery shop down here, especially at Safeway as the savings are not only surprising they can be breath taking.

Port Angeles was a bit of a disappointment but we saw some great ships and know that we don;t have to waste time stopping there tomorrow as we make our way further south. We did laundry and shopped, came home and visited with the neightbors, went to the Casino, then came home for supper. Casino buffet tonight was two for one but we prefer our own cooking so we rarely partake in them. Actually, buffets for me are a punishment. I hate them, everything tastes the same and I have gas for days. Denis loves them but hates the gas...ergo, we don't go. Had another great day even though we had to do some chores. Looking forward to being "on the road again" tomorrow.

Love to all
