From the Archives

As we spent two hours in our freezing cold arena yesterday watching the boys play soccer I thought it would be fun to post a picture from way back in the day. I believe this was Kaedo's first or second year of soccer. He was only 4 or 5. Funny how things work out, isn't it? After starting both the boys in soccer, and with a few detours into other sports, we are back to soccer and the boys love it. While the arena is cold, it is better than rain and bugs.
Sterling played great yesterday, really getting into the game and making some excellent plays. Kaedo had two assists and really enjoyed himself. He played terrifically (is that a word??).

Ortho for Sterling this morning and off to school for both in the pouring rain. I am sitting in my office listening to the rain pounding down on the skylights, thanking my lucky stars I can hear rain instead of seeing snow.

Toooo cute - we do remember being able to watch both Sterling & Kaeden the year they started soccer in Courtice - such fun to watch. I'm sure it would be alot more interesting to watch now that they're older. It seems to be the sport to be in and it's wonderful that they can play indoors. Swift Current has an indoor rink but not even close to being as nice as yours. Too bad the arena is cold to sit and watch - guess you have to bring in the bum warmers, gloves, touques, scarves and warm blankets to cover up with while they're running around with short sleeve shirts and shorts on!! Glad to hear both boys are doing great playing and enjoying it as well.

Hope Sterling's ortho appt. went well this morning. Yes like you say, you are very lucky to be listening to pouring rain while I look outside and see snow coming down once again today!

We had a great weekend with Sam & Linda in Medicine Hat. Too bad the Broncos didn't do better but it was fun anyway. Got to do lots of fun shopping with Linda. Sunday we went to The Bay because one of the parcels were left there and got to give BIG HUGS to Jessica and Emma. Avery was being a little shy at first but ended up smiling and warming up to me. Emma says we are to come to her house and she will make notchos and cheese for us.

We're rearranging our living room this morning and trying the tree in a different area of the living room. We don't have it up yet but hopefully by this evening it will be shining brightly.

BIG HUGS TO ALL OF YOU!!
