Thaksgiving 2010

Chicken, smashed and roasted potatoes, corn, crescents and gravy. The 's'mashed potatoes weren't good but Craig ate them anyway.

Sterling was worn out from his bike park adventure and had a 45 min snooze before supper. He never full woke up and ended up heading to bed about 8:15pm

Chickens and potatoes before cooking

Cherry pie - no pumpkin by here

Kaedo enjoying his pie after showers and supper clean up

Thanksgiving was a nice day here. Kaedo played outside all day and Sterling spent quite a bit of time outside as well. Kaedo played with the neighbor and Sterling headed to the bike park to learn some new tricks. I made a chicken supper and Craig was busy getting ready for his first day on the new job, getting some tunes on my iPod and trying to fix his broken cell phone. He dropped it and I think it is done for. Today he becomes a Blackberry man as his new job comes with a cell phone. We'll see how he likes it.

Shirley mentioned asking what each person is thankful for = here is our list - out of the mouths of tweenagers
Sterling
health

iPod
Kaedo

having L as his friend
Craig

Shannon

the opportunity to spend more time with the people I love
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I'm sure your Thanksgiving dinner tasted wonderful. I must say ours was great. The ham was perfect, something the cook can't really take credit for as the farmer and smoker did most of the work. We mixed au gratin and scalloped potatoes together and they were delicious also. The meal was rounded out with Brussel sprouts, everyones favorite, Parisienne bread, wine and apple pie with whipped cream. The salad was forgotten as we didn't have the ingredients prior to having our car towed away.

Just wouldn't start and yet it sounded like it wanted to. Hope to hear soon why it's sick. AMA to the rescue again.

Lovely weather here again today. Hope it lasts until this time next month.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We're happy for our health and for being able to live the life we choose.

Love to all

Everything looks wonderful Shannon!!! and it also looks like everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a cooler day here Thanksgiving day but nice all the same. I was checking photos from last year Oct. 11th. Kelly & family were here and they were making a snowman out front and Jacob was shovelling the sidewalk. Don't want any of that white stuff just yet. We went to Church, came home for a quick lunch and Stan went to Bronco hockey game (they won!!) and I went and had a cup of tea with Jewel. I came home and made a leftover supper with some of Linda's throw out food. It tasted even better the second time cooked.

Went to Line Dancing this morning, coffee, Stan had a chiro. appt. at 12:30 and Dr. New said he had a rib out of place - thus the no sleep last night! I dragged out the vacuum cleaner and got dusting downstairs which was in dire need of some attention. Got supper in the oven and not sure what the evening will bring.

Hope your first day on your new job went well Craig - thinking of you today!

Guess Skype didn't work for the boys last night - maybe some other evening.

BIG HUGS TO ALL!

P.S. - Irene - hope your car is back in running order soon.
