Year 2 - Week 1

Week One! We haven't as of yet purchased a new gnome, although we do have our eyes on one. Kaedo decided both our old gnomes should be in the picture. The boys were up for tackling a new year of "oh-my-god-it's-Tuesday-and-you-have-to-go-to-school-in-5-minutes-and-I-don't-have-the-gnome-picture-yet". Good for them - and me. I love doing this. While I do take pictures throughout the week and am planning a big project for next year (thanks, Jessica) these ones are very important. I know a lot of people take first day of school photos to compare from year to year, but our weekly photos show how much they change in just a few short weeks. I have loved looking at them through the year.

This year I will be "labeling" these posts as "Gnome picture - Year 2", so if anytime you want to take a look back you don't have to scroll through the blog. You'll just have to click on the tag and see them all.

Here's to another great year. Glad you're along for the ride!

Nice photo to start off the new year guys! We also love looking at them through the year and they definitely change lots.

We had another gorgeous day here today. Our LAFF(ladies all for fun) group took a trip out to Stewart Valley area this afternoon. We went to the "Rabbit Hill Teahouse Bed & Breakfast" for our lunch which was served around 1:00 p.m. It was FANTASTIC! and I'm going to suggest to all my lady friends that they should go out there to try the lunch. We got to tour through the Bed part which was a totally separate little house and it was done up so darn cute. Don't think men would appreciate staying there - THERE WASN'T A REMOTE OR T.V.!!! - oh there was so a remote but it was to turn on the little fireplace. We left S.C. at 12:15 and got home around 5:00 p.m. It was a fun afternoon.

Hope you all had a great day - BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Very handsome, both of you. We love seeing the new photos every week.

Busy getting rid of anything over 6 months old and not worn. What a decision making chore. The drawers have to go in and out so if they're overfull, out something goes. Denis has lots of rags for keeping the outside clean. One drawer has photo albums and it was very fun going through them and putting in photos gathered up this year that never made it into their spaces. Nothing is in chronological order so it's fun to see one grandchild at 6 and then see them at 1. I love them being all mixed up. It would drive you nuts Shannon as most of them don't have dates.

Sounds like a fun time Shirley. Lunch is our favorite meal to eat out. Going for a 4 p.m. get together tomorrow and I like to think of that as a late lunch, although Happy Hour is in that time frame somewhere.

Back to the chores as it'll take me all month to get them done, or so it seems.

Love to all
