and so it begins....

After a two year hiatus, we are returning to indoor soccer. The boys are both looking forward to it. For now they have hung up their bowling shoes and are ready to tie up their cleats. Last night we got them signed up and come mid-October we will be spending our Sundays at the indoor soccer arena, cheering on our budding David Beckhams (ha).

The deal of the year came on Sunday on a trip to Wal-Mart to pick up indoor shoes for the boys. Craig stumbled across this pair of indoor soccer shoes that were on sale for $3. That's right - $3. I think they are a little big for Kaedo but he says they feel good, and hell, for 3 bucks I'll stuff napkins in the toe of them (just joking. Kinda).

Here are some fun pictures from past soccer seasons. Man have they grown!

Hope you both enjoy the indoor soccer. It is waaaay better than sitting outside freezing to death during outdoor.

Those sale tables are the best. The most comfortable shoes I own are a $4.00 pair of ballet flats that I bought at the Bay. I was trying to save them for the winter but they'll be gone way before then. Having said that, I'm still wearing cork flip flop type things that I bought at least five years ago on a sale table and wear around the house every day.

Wonderful photos of our boys growing up. You really have their full history, quite amazing. Six weeks today and we'll be there. We'll have to work Grandma's birthday lunch around their soccer game as it will be the only chance we'll get to see them play.

Weather is definitely fall and the leaves are changing. At least it didn't rain today, it rained through the night instead.

Love to all

Great photos of the boys - we can still remember the first time we came down east and got to watch the boys play outside and yes, we had blankets wrapped around us as they're running around with bare arms and legs!!! We also got to watch them play inside and yes, that was way better. Have a fun year playing soccer Sterling & Kaeden!!

We are glad to be home after a safe trip to Chilliwack to help our friend Dennis celebrate his 65th b'day. He wasn't surprised like we were trying to do, but was thrilled that we made the trip out to celebrate with him. The drive out west in the mountains is so beautiful BUT I'm sure I get clawstrophobic(sp??) in the mountains because as soon as we got out of them I'm sure I was breathing easier!!! They are gorgeous to visit but I'm a true prairie girl and love my flat land.
The weather wasn't the greatest in Chilliwack and we seem to be dragging it wherever we go. We'll probably be pulling out all our flowers around the yard this weekend. Stan picked all his tomatoes which are still very green and hopefully they will ripen in the house for us to enjoy.

Nice chatting with you tonight Shannon and so glad to hear you're feeling much better.

BIG HUGS TO ALL!!

3 BUCKS!!!! Can't lose.
We still remember watching I believe Sterling in Airdrie. It is hard to believe how fast it has gone. Craig and I will be competing in Soccer highlight videos. Jaob starts his first indoor season on October 2 in our new soccer center. I think he is excited, but he hides his emotions so well (yah right). We will see how he likes it on his first day. Any advice Kaeden and Sterling for him??
