First Day of School 2013

First Day of School and I CANNOT BELIEVE I have a 9th grader and a 10th grader.
That is just not possible.

Sterling was a bit anxious heading to school this morning and texted me to ask if we could have lunch together. How do you say no to an invitation like that? So we had "First Day of School Lunch" together, and the rest of his day seemed to run more smoothly. He even got his ultimate favorite teacher again and was absolutely thrilled. He talked to his Amma after school and he seemed much calmer and a little more secure in what he's doing after their conversation. I was happy for that.

Kaedo LOVED high school, and saw two girls he had gone to school with in previous years as soon as he walked in the front doors. He was so happy to see them and they immediately told him that he was "in their gang" and they would be eating lunch together. They even told him where to meet. Bossy Boots! I'm so thankful to them. He loved his teachers, especially his gym teacher, he was happy with all his classes, he loved the school and said it was a GREAT day. He came home immediately and did his homework and has just been riding a high. Love it!

I want to wish my niece E a great first day of grade 3 (how the hell did that happen?). I'm very proud of you and what you've accomplished to get into this special class.  To my sweet A - good luck at preschool this week - I know you will do awesome! To my nephew J - happy day for you starting grade 2 - I know you will be the smartest in your class, and for the baby of this big family - my nephew C - have fun in daycare harassing all the supervisors and kissing all the girls.  We love you guys.

Wishing Sterling & Kaeden all the best in their grade 9 and 10th year - it is very hard to believe that they are that close to finishing High School. You both look GREAT! Love you so much!

Great photos of our two most handsome guys. So glad that your first day of school was a success. Getting the teachers that you like is so important. There are so many wonderful ones out there but the few jerks, unfortunately, have such a negative effect. Happy Year at school to both of you.

Emma was thrilled with her class and her teacher. Should be a challenging Grade 3. Only the top 9 Grade 2 got put into this class so her wonderful work ethic will pay off, I'm sure. She'll really have to work hard and she sure knows how to do that.

Glad to hear that the boys will be joining clubs, great way to meet people and face new challenges. It will look good on a resume, that's for sure. Avery starts tap this year along with ballet, cooking class, art class, swimming and 3 mornings of pre-school. Emma still has dance, violin and swimming. That should keep their mother out of trouble, lol. The driver has no time off.

Hope everyone has beautiful weather like we do.

Love to all
