Great Things....

There is nothing better than hearing your son say his goal for Math this year is 85%

There is nothing better than your son saying, "mom, when are you coming home, I miss you"

There is nothing better than your husband kissing you in the parking lot at work and not caring who is watching

There is nothing better seeing the sun shining and the trees turning beautiful shades of gold and red

There is nothing better than hearing your son empty the dishwasher - now if only he'd learn to iron!

There is nothing better than hearing your son say "thanks for letting me stay home and get better. i think I'm ready to go back to school tomorrow"

I wish everything was great, but that never seems to be the case. What's important is taking the time to focus on what is. And there is a lot!

Happy Tuesday!

It sounds like your Tuesday had some very great things happen. Sometimes I don't think we think enough about all the wonderful things that do happen in our lives but seem to concentrate on things that aren't great. If one listens to the news, it is very disheartening and you wish you hadn't listened. Or when we open our Booster and read the obituaries of 26, 56 and 66 year old people on one page alone, it can be a sad day for all those families. Enough said - thinking of great things - you are so right about the beautiful colors of fall. The trees have been absolutely gorgeous around here the last few days but as I look out the window this morning, they are just about all on our lawn.

I always like at Thanksgiving when we get together, to have each one say what they are thankful for and it seems like such a hard question to answer but shouldn't be. There are so many things in our life that we don't even think about when we get up every morning. Wishing you, Craig, Sterling & Kaeden a wonderful Thanksgiving and hope to catch you all for a visit. Love you so much - BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Happy day to you also, all of you. There really are so many things to be thankful for and we are so thankful. You never know what the future will bring, thank goodness, so live life well in the present.

We were supposed to go to Calgary for Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday but Susan isn't home from the Dominican yet so it will have to be another time. I love our family get-togethers as they only happen once or twice a year and everyone has a lot of news.

We had some hail and a little snow this morning. Where did that mid 20 weather go from last week?

Love to all
