Rite of passage????

On Sunday I decided that Sterling was ready to learn how to weed-whip and mow the lawn. To say he was thrilled was an understatement. At first I had him weed-whip the edges and after a few laughs and mis-starts, he finally got the hang of it. Once that was done, I asked him if he would like to learn how to mow the lawn. He was so excited. He went into the garage and got out the mower and brought it to the backyard. I showed him how to prime it and get it started and in our excitement we flooded it! Haha. We finally got it running, with some help from Craig and Sterling got started. After an eagle eye watching by Craig and some re-dos, Craig was satisfied and Sterling was so happy with the job he had done. Another blue job off my plate! Yahoo! Now I just have to get him to vacuum.

Sterling, I thought you were smarter than that. You're not supposed to learn those jobs, now you're stuck with them forever or until you leave home. That's what is sooo nice about living on the 35th floor of a high rise. You got sucked in kiddo! Now remember, the vacuuming gives you back spasms, that's what I always tell Baba!

Another rainy day, when will it stop. At least it's not snowing like it is in the Okanagan. Got an email into friends out in Vernon to see how it really is.

Had to get up and out early today for a 9.15 pedicure, what an uncivilized time. Lunch with a friend at 1 and then some shopping so that our dinner guests have something to eat and drink.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend and that their weather is at least not rainy.

Love to all

Sterling - you learned from the pro! That's how your dad earned his money to get through university - RIGHT CRAIG!! The lawn looks great!

I agree with you Irene - more and more rain - WHEN WILL IT EVER END! We still don't have all our summer/patio stuff out yet - maybe we won't this year! It's dull, dreary and very windy here again today and spitting rain once in awhile. Our plans for the evening are to turn on our little fireplace downstairs and cuddle up and watch a movie OR hockey!!! Doesn't matter, I'm not going out again today.

We're planning a Canasta evening tomorrow night with Robert & Barb and Gord & Sandra - hope it all works out and that us girls can finally beat the boys! We always win the first game and then after that, it goes downhill - oh well, it's an evening of fun and laughter which we all need more of.

Hope your day went well - BIG HUGS TO ALL!

That is the age it starts????? I am looking forward to it. Jacob has no interest in chores right now, but I think we can capitalize on Caleb - cleaning, watering and even grabbed the shovel the other day.

Hope all is weel with you guys.
