Gas gouging

The gas prices are astonishing here. I don't know about where you live but here we are at 134.9. Craig I were speaking about the gas prices and our memories of gas wars back when we were in Alberta. We have fond memories of $.35/L gas and what seemed like miles of cars waiting to get to the pumps. Here there are no gas wars, and no letting up on the price. What amazes me is that the gas prices can go up six or seven cents in a matter of days. I am thankful that I am no longer travelling to work every day. The $100 it costs to fill the van every 10 days is still too much for me.

117.9 here and about 2 cents cheaper for diesel. The diesel was about 80 cents more expensive in the States. We've solved the heart attack problem by only putting $30.00 in at a time instead of filling up. That usually lasts 5-6 days if we're just putzing around. We figured the motorhome was about 49 cents a mile to run on the way home, which is still cheaper than here. Again, we'd just put a day's fuel in so it would be under $200. and that gives a psycological boost, dumb I know, but it works for us. The car is so great as it was only $105for it to come home all the way from Parker. Can't beat that with these fuel prices.

Arrived in Lethbridge this afternoon. The park is full to the brim. Lots of people we didn't get to see last year are here. Happy Hour at Jan and Dean's at 5 but she said we wouldn't need to cook supper so that's great because I don't know how to cook mustard and relish. That's about all there is in the fridge. Denis's gone to get bread and milk for breakfast and maybe we'll get with it tomorrow and get some groceries. Always tooo busy when we get back, at least the first two weeks. All our insurances are due, doctors appointments, tests, etc. etc.

The sun is shining right now but it's supposed to be -13C tonight. It has to warm up soon, yeh??

Love to all

Our gas here is 123.9 at most of the stations and some at 122.9 - it is ridiculous and yes I bet you are happy you're not driving to work. Filling both our car and truck takes alot of money - we try not to drive the truck very often.

We woke up to fog here this morning, then it cleared off and the sun shone for most of the afternoon and then about 1/2 hour ago - it snowed again!! We're not sure if we'll ever put the shovels away this year or not.

Hope you all had a great day - BIG HUGS TO ALL! - Love you lots!
