Happy Valentine's Day to our families. Thank you for all the kind gift cards and email money transfers that were sent to the boys. Ha! What a holiday is all about when you are a teenager. They used their gift cards after school for fries and a soda at McDs, and Sterling bought himself a pair of $70 headphones after supper. Your money was put to good use!
We headed to BPs for our traditional Valentine's Day heart shaped pizza supper and were disappointed. We had ordered some pizza bread as an appetizer and it ended up that we had finished our pizza BEFORE it arrived. It was a bit of gong show, so I spoke with the manager and expressed that while the server was nice and polite, he had no skill. We ended up with a $30 discount which I felt was more than fair on our $70 bill. For those of you who have mentioned that I do not put pictures of myself on here, here you go - that's it til next Valentine's Day.
The last picture is the funniest (to us) as Kaedo and I saved all our crusts and brought them home for Ketchup so he wouldn't be left out!
More posts lined up for the weekend. Sorry it is slow during the week. Hard to get to it when the day is so long already.
Once again - thank you everyone for the gifts for the boys. They were to have contacted you at some point today by some form of technology. I hope they did.
As for Kaedo, he wants a hideous pair of 'deafen yourself' headphones as well, so we will be shopping for those this weekend. I keep telling them they will be deaf like Amma, and all they keep saying is "what???"

Shannon, you look terrific as do the rest of you, however, I'm a little biased as that is my girl and I think she looks awesome. I'm sure the men in your home think so as well.

Valentine's day is huge down here. We don't do anything special but the Mexican born people celebrate. It's so wonderful to see how the families are so involved with each other. The children are so important but the husbands and wives really show their love to one another, not just on Valentines, but always.
Went to see a movie yesterday about the killing of bin Laden, can't remember the name...never knew the name. We went to the Asian Star for dinner and our friends were impressed. This has to be the best Asian restaurant we've ever eaten in. As Canadians, we know how to order Asian food. The people around us asked if they could join us next time we came. It was hilarious. They order one dish each, no variety. We ordered a dish each plus one, and everyone was staring at us. They actually brought another table over so that they could accommodate all the plates. It`s not that we ordered a lot but we ordered hot plates and other things that they just don`t even think about down here. They`re Cracker Barrel people, no idea what real good food is.
Had a wonderful fire tonight and ate supper by the light of it. Denis went and sawed up pallets that are unrepairable. Yumans(perfect name for them) are so happy that we come to Yuma that they do everything to make our stay as comfortable and inexpensive as possible. We have enough firewood for three huge fires lasting 2-3 hours, all for free. By we, I mean all the snowbirds from Canada and the northern US. We are treated like royalty and it shows as so many of us get our repairs and anything else that needs doing, here, before we head north. We never mind spending our money here, because they appreciate it and let you know that. We are getting new shocks next week and getting our motor home, washed, de-oxidized and waxed.
Taking Anti Laura to lunch tomorrow as Dan is heading to Quartzsite to check out some gold. Going to Pete and Roz`s for supper and then, I`m sure, it will be the casino. Love it in there especially tomorrow as The Temptations are the main event. We still haven`t made it to Organ Pipe although we were supposed to go last week. Too much to do, so little time. Hopefully, we`ll go there Monday. Still haven`t been to the dentist in Mexico yet, have to do that before we head out on the 28th.
It`s been a busy winter, but we both agree, it`s been the best one so far. The daily clock just doesn`t have enough hours.
I think the weekend is coming up, so have a great one.

That is too bad you had bad luck with BP again. I think the last time you went there, you didn't have very good luck with the gift card we gave you. I bet Ketchup was very, very happy to have his treat when you came home. We had a fun filled Valentine's Day and way too many goodies!
