Holidays....

..... are officially over. Or so my gorgeous better half advised me on our date night tonight. Time has gone so quickly and he seems to find it hard to 'turn work off', so Black.berry checking etc occurs all week. I wonder who he learned that from? S_ _N?

I think the boys have had a good break, and neither of them want to return to school. Especially Sterling - he is hating the idea of the 30 each way walk in the cold. I do have some cute hats he could choose from to wear. They only have a little flower on them - ha!

Tomorrow Craig is going to football - first game of 2013. I have an appointment in the morning and then we'll see what the day brings. I think we'll got to the movies on Sunday and it will be back to early bedtimes. No more of this 2am for my handsome young princes!

Glad to hear you got out on a date night you two. Craig you do sound just "abit" like your father! I'm sure the only way you forgot about work was when you went to DisneyWorld - out of sight, out of mind. I'm sure you did relax some of your time off and it was nice for all of you to get refreshed ready for everything to get going again.

Good luck heading back to school Sterling & Kaeden. The rest of the year will just fly by and before your know it, Sterling you will be walking with your brother to school.

Hope your first football game of 2013 went well Craig and you didn't have to play in too much snow.

I'm still not feeling quite up to my old self as yet and haven't been doing too much at all. I stayed in all day Thursday - even missed my first Line Dancing of the year! Went out for abit yesterday but was played out in a couple of hours. Not doing too much at all this weekend either so hope by Monday, I'll get back into the groove of things - Curves and my Line Dancing - I need to after all our "goodies" through Christmas. Also must get all my Christmas "stuff" put away. I started doing abit on Wednesday but have lots to go.

Alarm clocks will have to be all set up again for Monday morning for all of you - hope it all goes well!

BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Great talking with you boys today, and I love your hair cuts. Sorry I've missed my weekly call lately but the cell phone service is not as good as it could be and wifi is virtually non existent unless you're in the club house. We have wifi tonight as our neighbor (from Sask. who is travelling with a couple called Klassen) put an extension antenna on his internet so he told us we could hop aboard. We are doing that at this moment.

Had a great day today. Hi-Lo Card tournament in the card room at 10 a.m., then home for lunch and then headed to Lake Havasu to see the stock car races at 2. Got back here at 6.30, just in time to get in on the steak dinner they were offering on tonight's menu. Too cheap to eat out here so why cook. The girls went to the Kids Zone this morning to do crafts and Xbox so everyone has something of interest to do. After supper we went to the pool bar for karaoke. Love the fact that kids are not off limits anywhere here.

Emma decided she wanted to go to Los Algodonas after speaking with some people at karaoke tonight. We weren't going to do the road trip but I guess we're heading there on Monday, bright and early. We'll park in the US and walk across the border. The woman mentioned shopping and Em was right on it.

We're hoping for a less hectic day tomorrow but the Casino beckons as we haven't made it there yet. Champagne brunch in the morning and ice cream social in the afternoon with karaoke starting at 3 instead of 6. A 9 a.m. phone call takes precedence however.

Friends from Lethbridge are arriving tomorrow so we hope to get a chance to see them before they head to El Centro. We'll see them for sure in Quartzsite but it would be nice to spend a happy hour with them before then.

Sorry you're not feeling well Shirley. Hope you feel better soon. You need to get into the warmer weather, lol. Seriously, the weather has sucked temperature wise down here but there isn't a cloud in the sky. Didn't get above 14C today. That may sound warm for the prairies at this time of year but it sure isn't warm here.

Love to all
