Monday night found our family back at EB.Games. Or should I say found Sterling and Craig back there. Sterling really wanted to participate in his own midnight launch and Craig was so awesome about going with him. They left about 6pm to pre-pay and waited in line for over an hour. They then came home and at 11:30pm went back out to the mall and stood in the cold and rain waiting for the launch. It took an hour and by the time they got home and in bed it was close to 1:15am. Talk about true love. We gave the game and its predecessor to Sterling for his birthday although we did tell him he couldn't play when he got home. Or play sick the next day!
The clerk at the store told us they had pre-sold 1800+ copies of the game and Sterling said there were piles of people there.
Amazing! I am so not into video games. At all. But the boys have been having fun slaying zombies and whatever else there is to slay. Gross.

Yay Craig! Something you will look back on with fondness as the years go by and they are taking their own children to midnight launches. These are memories that can never be replaced and you will look back on forever as a really awesome time....even though you can't wait for bedtime right now. Good on you!!

Spent the day in Calgary with my mom. She really is a hoot. Took a bouquet of flowers, some Quality Street chocolates and brought back the outfit that we'd given her on Saturday. She thought they were all new presents. That's my last visit with her until the spring but it was such fun. She looks great and was having a great day.

Went out to supper last night and had a fantastic meal cooked by a bachelor friend of Denis's. Where are these guys when you need them? Came home from Calgary today and had to cook a dessert that I'd promised to bring to a friend's dinner tomorrow. They're going to have to roll me across the border if we have any more dinners and lunches. Will have to move to the Hat next year so we can get some of this weight off.

The weather is holding up and we're nice and cozy. My good friend gave me a lovely faux fur blanket for Xmas that I am making good use of. Hope the gift package arrived Shannon and that everything is in good shape. Remember, do not open until Xmas, except of course, for Craig's birthday. Shopping is all done except for a couple of things that Emma wants to do for her mom and we'll look after next week. It's so awesome when the little ones have their own ideas about what they want to give. So much thought goes into it and all within their budget.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Love to all
