Polar Express Night

Last night, I along with my parent council committee hosted a movie night to see the Polar Express. We had almost 300 people in attendance, 155 kids and lots of great volunteers who gave up their evening to help (my two munchkins included). It took a lot of planning and a very nervous committee chair (me) but it went off without a hitch. It was great. As a surprise we gave each child a bell on a red ribbon. They were thrilled, as were their parents.
Now I can move on to the next things on my list and just be happy for our success and giving the children and their parents an evening to remember.

Sounds like you had a very fun evening - good for you Shannon!

Nice chatting with you last night Craig - hope you found something yummy to have for your lunch today.

Hope you day of travel went well Denis & Irene - thinking of you and wishing you a safe arrival. Let us know when you give everyone a big hug from us!

Home from shopping with my sisters and tomorrow we (hopefully some of our men) will be going to Herbert Manor for their Christmas Come and Go from 4:00 - 6:00 and then back in for a hockey game.

We will be having a quick supper tonight and I got a free ticket from Hank to take in another hockey game tonight.

Hope everyone had a great day - BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Thank you so much Stan and Shirley for a wonderful lunch and a great visit. We truly appreciated your wonderful hospitality. I was hoping there would be some cookies left for the boys...but there's not. Thank you so much for everything.

No doubt in our minds that anything you plan Shannon, will be a great success. So happy for you.

We have arrived in snowy Parry Sound and are spending the night in a motel so that we can wash our hair. A winterized motorhome means you have to heat your water and have a strip down wash but the hair is a different matter. It's had water on it, but no shampoo. I'm showering until there's no more hot water.

Only three more hours to our destination and it won't come soon enough. It's been a tough trip as the weather has been soooo cold, however, the roads were perfect except for the last 35 km, and they were brutal. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Love to all
