wassup?????

First gnome picture of 20-10! Kaedo looks a bit like a gangster and Sterling looks thrilled to be heading off to school. Oh well - what can you do? The weather is cold but not frigid - thank god! I'm happy for that. There are a few snowflakes but they are light and airy.

On the countdown now - 24 days today. I have printed off our confirmation. Mapquest is done, packing lists are started, travel bag has been brought out. Passports are packed. Now it's just a waiting game. I'm marking off the days on the calendar and have picked up shifts all weekend to ensure some extra money for us. I'm working Monday (yesterday), Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The extra 12 hours just help out. I'll be very glad to have my day off next Wed. I've also picked up work for next weekend as well. You can do anything in the short term. I just think of Ken and how many days in a row he works for his family and figure I can do anything.

Off for a date with my yoga mat.

Great looking, you handsome creatures. We love to look at your photos every week or more often.

We know you're so excited to be on the countdown to Disney. We have thoroughly enjoyed our three days there, tomorrow beinging our last day. We got there at 10 yesterday and left at 6:30, Sunday we arrived at 9:30 a.m. and left at 10:30 p.m. That was a big day but so exciting. The only disappointment was that we were waiting for the New Years fireworks extravaganza but wind at the higher altitude put the damper on that. There were 10s of thousands of people waiting to see them and everyone just accepted the fact that it was too dangerous to do. No moaning or yelling or anything, very civilized...not the American way at all.

The weather has been awesome, above normal temperatures for this time of year, in the mid to high 70s. We are off to Newport Beach and Balboa Island today. Very bohemian there, Dad and I love it. We are all going together. On Sunday, Ken Jessica and Avery went to Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Belair and all the movie star places. Dad, Emma and I went to Laguna Beach and made sand castles and paddled in the ocean. It was a great time.

Emma's quite the rider, she did Space Mountain, Star Tours, and every other ride she was tall enough for...that makes all of them but two. Both girls have been so fantastic. Avery has been on all the rides she was allowed on which is quite a few really. She just looks around and takes in the sights, smiling and laughing as she goes. She's an old soul, 5 months going on 5 years.

You are so right Shannon, you can do anything if you have a goal in mind. We are very glad we worked this summer as we earned enough to travel all winter without touching any of our savings. The bonus is that we enjoyed getting back into the swing of things. Wouldn't want to do it all year though. Six months was perfect.

Had a wonderful lunch at Ariel's Grotto. That was gourmet fare with gourmet presentation. It definitely was a highlight. The autograph books are being well used as we have all the princesses as well as Tigger, Eeyore and Minnie Mouse.

I told Jessica that Amme's are allowed to buy Dorito's even if their grandchild is dressed all in white.

Love to all
