Stan and Shirley's last full day here. We spent the morning sitting outside, chatting. The boys played in the pool and then they went to the park where they played some games and took these pictures. Yes, that is Ketchup going down the slide. Poor bugger.We have had a great visit and I can't believe they are leaving tomorrow. It has been just terrific and we have all enjoyed being together.
The boys have had so much fun. They have been to McDonald's for lunch and many ice cream treats. They have been strawberry picking, to Cedar Park, to the movies, the zoo and spent the morning "triathloning". It is when I am doing posts like this that I miss living in the West, close to our families.

Glad it was such a great week and that the weather co-operated. We're looking forward to our visit with you.
We booked some reservations today for New Year's Eve in Vegas. We've spent quite a few of them there but it is the gateway to the southern spots that we want to explore this year. We were lucky to get in where we wanted even though it's so far off. It fills up pretty fast there. Our tentative plan is to take the coast road from San Diego to Vancouver BC. We figure that if we leave around Feb 1 we should be in Vancouver by April 1. We'll split up the mileage by the number of weeks and just drive for one day and explore for the other 6. Haven't quite figured it out yet, but we will. Lovely weather today, hope it lasts
