OCD anyone?

This is what my kitchen counter looks like every weeknight (by about 7pm, actually). A bit OCD would you say? All the kid's lunches are ready to go - even the fruit has been washed and grapes put in containers. I don't put the lids on at night so I just do it in the morning. Their water bottles have been cleaned and are in the fridge with new water, cooling. The wraps, or sandwiches have been made. If cereal is on the agenda it has already been put in the Tupperware with a small container of B. sugar. The milk is already in container in fridge. If by chance there is soup on the agenda, it is already sitting out on the counter with the bowl to microwave it in.
You will also notice the multivitamins in ramekins. The small one is for Craig and the big one has the kid's stuff. Nothing too granola, just multivitamin and vitamin C (happy, Shirley?). Let's see...what else do I do that is insane? Oh ya, I also put out all the breakfast fixins' the night before. Why, you might ask, do I do such a thing? The answer is simple...it buys me 15 more minutes in bed every morning. And that, people is the ultimate prize!

Lunches are so fun, aren't they? I saw a book in Newfoundland that said 12 easy peanut free lunches for your kids to take to school. I was going to buy it but I'm sure you must have seen it also. Good food is certainly not inexpensive to buy, is it? I bought two litres of milk yesterday and it was 3.65. It's no wonder the Newfoundlanders drink beer. After enjoying these people for three weeks, the term NEWFIE seems so derogatory.

Sterling, the photos are great and we were sure you'd kick butt at bowling. We hope you enjoy it. Amma and Baba used to love bowling league.

We are in Port Hawkesbury, N.S. We will be in Truro after about a two hour drive tomorrow. We'll stay there for a week as a home base. The ferry ride was awesome. The ferry finally left at 0.20 and arrived in Sydney at 15.00. That was a fast sail. We slept until 7:30 this morning and then the rest of the day was spent reading and exploring the ship. Very calm seas, just a lovely trip. The campground we checked into on Sunday afternoon allowed all their fery people to stay until 10 pm on Monday. That was a bonus. We just went out the park gates, down their secondary road and voila, the ferry. We realized we should be down there when the people off loading from the trip over were pulling into the campground. We lost potatoes and onions, no root veg allowed out of NL due to 'potato wort' disease that happened three generations ago. Then you had to go through a spray so that no NL. dirt remained on your vehicle. Too funny. All this, in the dark and we're dead tired. Denis boarded 1/2 hour before me and then they had loaded so weird that six of us were facing the wrong way. When it was time to unload, we all had to make a U turn on the deck. These little quirks are what makes life so interesting and fun, however, you need the time to enjoy it. I feel sorry for anyone on a schedule now.

Love to all
