the weekend

The weekend went great. I sold all but 6 of my hats so Kaedo and I were really happy. These pictures are from set-up night on Friday and show the selection of hats I had for sale. As you can imagine, the table looked quite sparse with only six hats left on it. I tried on a lot of hats for people so they could see what they looked like on. We also had mirrors available so people could try them on themselves. I was surprised at how many did that. It was cool to see my hats on other people. All is all it was a lot of fun and definitely something I would do again. Now back to the grind for this weekend.

Sorry the blogging has been sparse but I have been so busy. Thanks for sticking around.

The hats look great, no wonder you just about sold out. We wish you a sell out this weekend or at least a good dent in all the ones you have been so busy working on this week. You'll probably be glad when you don't have to sit all day and crochet.

Have to get some banking organized today so that we can access $ from down south. Wish they'd come up with a way to access the USD account from the US with your debit card. Does that come under innovations, Craig? Can't think of a better man for the job.

Have a few things to do today as far as shopping goes and Denis has some maintenance on the motorhome. Happy Hour with Pete and Ros at 4.30 then home to take Rolaids after eating those wings.

Look forward to seeing you, Stan and Shirley, on the 5th. Hope it is still convenient for you. Will be sometime before noon if all goes accordingly.

No wind today but this is just a one day reprieve as it's supposed to start up again tomorrow and last until Tuesday. The only consolation is that it isn't too cold.

Love to all

Your hats look fantastic Shannon - so glad things went well for you on the weekend. Don't apologize for the sparse blogging - we're happy whenever you can put some on and with you being so busy, you've done great.

Irene - got our calendar marked for the 5th and also looking forward to a visit with you both and giving HUGS to forward to our family down east.

We had another beautiful day today with some wind but we're so used to it I just about forgot we had it. Blue sky and sunhine are always a plus/plus for this time of year and believe it or not - most of the snow is gone and if the weather keeps up as they say for the weekend, we may not have any snow at all. Stan just commented yesterday that he's already tired of winter!!

Just got home from playing walleyball (Stan was our score keeper) and coffee after and plan on relaxing for awhile before heading to bed.

BIG HUGS TO ALL!
