Fall Leaves

On Saturday afternoon I voluntold the boys that they were going to help me bag the leaves on the front lawn. I had already raked them, I just wanted them to help me put them in the bags. Once Kaedo saw that there was a big pile of leaves, no clean up could be continued. He jumped a few times, and Sterling raked them back into a pile (all the while whispering to me "can you imagine all the bugs in those leaves?") and once he got cold, he went in and put on a jacket and pants and came out and jumped some more. Here are a few of the action shots I caught. Once he was done playing, we got all the leaves scooped into the bags. Then of course we came out yesterday morning to another pile of leaves that need to be raked. I think I'll wait until the tree is bare and do it all at once.

The lawn looks so beautiful and green - ours now has SNOW, SNOW, SNOW piled on it! YUK! It snowed all weekend but this morning the sun is shining and blue sky so maybe, just maybe the snow will go away - HA! HA!

Looks like Kaeden had lots of fun and I remember many years ago when you guys were here - you took pictures of Sterling sitting on all the leaves and throwing leaves in the air trying to catch the right picture.

Just got home from doing a few things plus one important job - VOTING - and now must get some lunch on the go. Hope you're having a great day - BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Our leaves all blew away in the last wind storm. Not a leaf to be seen, snow is all gone too. Looks like you're having a great time jumping in all those leafy mounds.

This Secret Santa is fun. Bought for my person two weeks ago and today saw something I liked more, so bought it. The first item now goes as a gift to someone else. Denis did the same thing. We chuckled all the way home.

Busier week this week. Lunch with friends tomorrow and Wednesday, Calgary on Thursday, Cenotaph Friday and the Hat for Saturday and Sunday. Need to do some shopping in Calgary. With three gorgeous nieces and Victoria's Secret only being in Calgary or Edmonton, what is one to do. If I could move the excess from my thighs north up to the boobs, I'd be a 60EEE at least. Could Victoria's Secret accomodate me?? I'm going to find out.

No frozen pipes this morning and the weather looks not too bad until the 17th. It says sub zero weather during the day then, so we may be moving before we had planned to. We hate doing lunch and dinner the same day (ergo the excess)but we may have to so that we can see everyone before we leave. That's the problem with going in a different directions from everyone else for the winter. Denis's brother and wife are on their way to Texas and have been enjoying Tennessee this week. We probably won't catch up with them this year. Denis's sister and husband will be in Florida in March but we'll be heading west by then. It's a small window and we miss a lot of people because of it. Already looking at our next year's winter adventure and this one hasn't started yet. Dreaming, planning and then changing your mind is so much fun.

Love to all
