once again

So - the boys rode their bikes to school again today. Craig is home, so it works out. I thought we had agreed that they weren't going to ride to school again but apparently they got a second chance. Guess their dad is nicer than me. After strict instructions to call when they got to school, we waited for the call and today it came. Both were safe at school. Breathe. They were so thrilled with the chance, as they too thought that this was not going to happen again. Craig warned them that if there was no call there would be no more chances. I guess that was enough for them.
Not too much going on this weekend. Craig has football tomorrow, I have some design team work and we may take the kids to the Port Hope Drive-In tomorrow night to see Star Trek and Terminator double feature. The place is a dump (as you can see from the picture - but it's cool and has tons of personality. It is a really cheap date as you pay by the carload and take your own treats. We haven't been to the movies in a couple of months so we thought this might be a cool outing.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Glad to hear the boys got another chance and made it to school safe and sound and made the call!

We haven't been to a Drive-In for so many years. We really wanted to take the boys to the Kyle Drive-In this past summer but it's about an hour to get there and driving through the Landing late at night is not our most favorite thing to do. You should have a fun time together.

We just got home from a bike ride. We left the house around 7:30 and got home around 9:30 p.m. We rode over to Larry & Faye's and sat on their deck with a cup of coffee. Had to get home before it got too dark - no headlights on our bike!

We're not sure what the weekend will bring but it's supposed to be 29 tomorrow so many hours spent outside and nothing getting done inside.

Talk to you on Sunday - BIG HUGS TO ALL! Have a great weekend.

Wow! The second chance didn't take as long to happen as I thought. We're really glad. Nice going boys, keep the parenthood happy, all it takes is a phone call.

Great talking with you both today. We had an awesome day, great weather, a grand daughter that re-defined the word "meltdown" and a wonderful supper. Emma has never been much of a challenge behavior wise....ha ha, it's great to see she's a normal child. We both really felt for Jessica and Ken, but it was nice to see that she is normal. Went for a ride with Ken on the quad, got a real good look at what Desert Blume landscape really looks like. It's awesome, even more so once you get off the beaten track.

Dad's surgery went really well, he's not in any discomfort...of course that could be all the beer. We're going to put Em's birthday present together tomorrow. It will probably take until Wednesday to get it finished but we're hoping to get it all done tomorrow.

It was very warm today and very dry. We sat out until about 9.45, watching the kids having a great time on the go cart. Em's not allowed in the driver's seat anymore, not since she ran into the car...so when she had a chance tonight, she sat in the passenger seat with her foot on the gas...very scary. She drives like her Baba.

Love to all
