Sometimes I just feel that way. Today is one of those days ( I think yesterday was, too). Oh well. Long weekend ahead of us. When I say long, I mean LOOOONNNNGGGG. We have no plans - I should clean my office - so I am dreading the prospect of staying close to home for the next 2.5 days. On a brighter note - I am going to see my boys on Monday! YAH! Spend a couple of days with them and mom and dad, and then back home to finish off the summer. Boy do I miss them. That's about it. I'd love some pictures of my cutie niece and her baby Mike so I can add that story to the blog. Jessica - this means you!!

Love to all - s

PS. Cheryl S. - are you there?????

Hope you have a better day tomorrow Shannon - maybe you're thinking like I am - summer is coming to an end too soon and we're not ready to winter yet! You mentioned your potatoe salad - did it turn out okay - it's pretty hard making something if you don't even like it yourself - I'm sure it was delicious! We had a pretty crazy day yesterday but we are now home safe and sound along with little Jacob. Our car broke down and had to be fixed in Saskatoon and they couldn't get it done until this morning so Kelly & Petrica headed home and we stayed with Jacob in a Comfort Inn right behind the Honda dealership. We walked there this morning and it took them 1/2 hour to finish the work - can't understand why it couldn't have been finished yesterday but they said the mechanic that does that work didn't come in. Travel today was quite busy on the highway with the long weekend so we were glad to get home around 12:30 noon. We've had a fun time with Jacob so far and our plans are to take him back to Kelly & Petrica on Tuesday unless they get too homesick for him and we'll have to take him home sooner (or if he starts missing mommy & daddy). Have a fun weekend and also have fun with your mom and dad picking the boys up. We can hardly wait to see them again - 12 more sleeps! BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Only one more day to spend alone with our little guys. The time has flown by, we just can't believe it's almost over. It is going to be very hard to say goodbye as a month living in close proximity as we have really makes for awesome bonding. I asked the boys if they wanted to talk to you tonight but they decided they didn't. I asked why, as they were putting in the DVD, and they didn't have an excuse. I asked if it was because they would be too sad afterward and they said that was why. They are looking so forward to seeing you on Monday.

Yesterday we biked across the river to Quebec and had hot dogs in a basement restaurant in Gatineau. The boys thought it was great. Today they wanted to go to the movie "Hot Rod". Spare me another one of those shows. Tomorrow we are going to the Museum of Nature. Every night we go swimming before supper and every night around 9 we have popcorn and watch a DVD. Tonight we had a chocolate fondue and have enough fruit and chocolate left over for another one tomorrow.

Ottawa is a wonderful, culturally diverse city. I really love it but then there are very few cities I don't love. We have saved the Parliament tour and the Gov. General's & Prime Minister's homes for when you arrive. We haven't done a boat tour either and that it something we do everywhere there is water and tour boats. We've been to the Mint, the Children's Museum (in the Museum of Civilization) and the National Gallery. The boys have loved it all, they are not hard to please.

In between, they have fished with their hands, nets, water bottles, whatever they thought would bring them luck. We have been swimming every day and it shows as their swimming skills have improved so much. We have done so many ordinary, everyday things but because you are on holiday it just seems like so much more fun. We know they have enjoyed their holiday and that is all that matters. We have enjoyed them so much we cannot describe it. Thank you both so much for sharing with us your most precious treasures.

Love to all
