Countdown to Kids

Well, Shannon is gone again and the blog duties fall to me. We had a good long weekend, our last before the kids return. It seems to have gone fast which is good, although it doesn't feel like we actually spent as much time together as we actually have, if that makes any sense. We did catch up on our movies and got a few things done around the house. Painted the fridge in chalkboard paint, to cover the rust that was starting to show through, though Shannon would have probably done it anyway even if it wasn't rusting since she saw it in a Scrapbooking magazine and thought it looked cool. We also decided that since the basement no longer had any toys, it was time to make it look more inviting. As such, we moved all of our Coke stuff downstairs and put it on display. It looks good and we are actually able to display everything we have for once. Here is a look at our handiwork. (p.s. Dad, the shelves are completely level, it took me about three hours, a laser level and measuring more times than I can count, you must be sooo proud :)

Looking forward to having the munchkins home again.
