Did you say snow?

After soccer this afternoon, my 6ft+ gorgeous son agreed to have his picture taken with our cutie dog. Just wanted to show what we have for snow in this little place we call home. We have had some very cold temperatures (-30), but overall it has been a great Winter. We got some snow in the Fall and then not again until February. Here we have four seasons, so the way I see it, we may have another month and we'll be seeing our tulips popping out of the ground.

I get sick of listening to people complain about the weather. For the record, we live in Canada. We get snow. Have always gotten snow, and can't control the weather even if we tried. When people complain to me about the weather I remind them of the fact that they choose to live here and that usually ends that.  If you're going to complain about something, maybe pick something you can do something about. In my case, I don't check the weather, always bring an extra sweater and know that every night when I close my eyes I will be waking up to a longer day tomorrow and a number on the calendar closer to Spring.

You definitely have lots of snow!! I agree with you totally Shannon - we live in Canada, we get snow and always have (maybe sometimes more than others) but we live here and LOVE it - wouldn't be anywhere else for sure! We have also had a GREAT winter - we've had days when it's been very, very cold but also have had some very nice weather getting above zero some days. We listen to your weather and yes this last week you have been alot colder than us - our wind chill factor makes it so much colder but like you said - take an extra sweater along or bigger, warmer coats, scarfs and gloves:)

Hope you are all doing well and I know without even saying it - keeping busy.

BIG HUGS TO EVERYONE!

Yuma is Canada's most southern city, I thought you knew that. We don't have snow there but we have loads of Canadians. In fact, probably more Canadians than any other nationality. We Canadians love our weather down here, so we're not complaining. Those that choose to stay in the colder parts of our country...oh well!! Enjoy!! We Canadians much prefer the climate down here.

Right now, we are in Mexico and there are lots of Canadians here also. Some of them RV and some have homes. The homes are in the Outback, the RVs are in the park. Canadians are known for partying everywhere they go. This place is party heaven, every day at 4, whether it's an occasion or not. Today was amazing as a very generous donor to the community is leaving for the season tomorrow and the food and pudding shots were excellent. Food and clothing outreach tomorrow. Thank you Emma and Avery for donating some of the clothes left behind from Xmas. The children here will really appreciate them. This park really comes together to help the people in this very poor community. Since the drug cartels have been curtailed in most of the towns within 200 kms of the border and the fishing has been suspended until 2017, the people are really struggling. The price for food here in town are comparable to Canadian prices but their income is about $20 a day. For 70 USD, we can have two people wash and wax the motorhome; it costs 250 USD north of the Mexican border. Better quality of work here also.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and great weather.

Love to all
