Better Late than Never

Since the blog wasn't up and running when these pictures were taken, I thought I should post our tree decorating photos today. Just a note - Kaedo doesn't need to be lifted to add the angel AND that is Sterling lifting him. LOL.

We had a fun night. We invited an exchange student who is a friend of Sterlings and he came and partook in our tradition. He said it was very much like home for him (except we didn't dance around the tree) and it made him happy to be a part of our day.

Working where I work, I hear a lot of people talk about 'the perfect tree', the perfect colors, the perfect ornaments. That doesn't work for us. If that's the tree you want, I'm all for it - lots of people are, but not us. We have our perfect tree. The lights that are all screwed up, the 'charlie brownish' of it, the fact that I'm sure that some of it isn't as green as other parts. We love the ornaments from when I was a kid, from when the boys were little and we especially love our angel. Sterling made it in daycare and we will always use it. So cute!

So, here is this year. If I can find any pictures of Kaedo with a shirt on at Christmas, I will post those tomorrow.

My wish for next year is a silver tinsel tree. If you've got one, send it over!

GREAT MEMORIES for sure!! That is too funny with Sterling lifting Kaeden:) Nice that Sterling's friend could be part of your fun tradition - dancing around the tree wouldn't be a bad thing!! Not sure if we can find a silver tinsel tree to bring to you this summer:)

Just got home from Line Dancing a couple of hours ago. Such fun and hope I can keep going for many years. I've been asked if I would consider looking after our neighbors little one (3 months) every Thursday afternoon from 3:30-5:00 p.m. for 12 weeks. This will be the 3rd Thursday and it's been great so far - he hasn't made strange yet!! He's always got lots of smiles and is a very good little guy. Then this evening, we are to play walleyball which is always lots of fun and lots of laughter as well.

Hope you're all having a good day - BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Your tree looked awesome as usual. I remember we had a silver tinsel tree and you absolutely hated it. Actually, not sure if you saw the real thing or photos of it. I'm sure it was the nagging that made us get rid of it so you must have seen it in person.

Our weather is warm but not too warm. There is a cool breeze as there is snow on some of the mountains in southern California. I need a light jacket but Denis doesn't.

Went on a fabulous 'Field to Feast' tour today. We picked vegetables first thing so that the university students could prepare them for our wonderful lunch. After the picking, we were taken on a tour of the Yuma ag area with a very successful farmer. He, or now his sons, farm 6000 acres of produce. It was so awesome and we went to places that we probably wouldn't know to go on our own. It's always great to get the history.

Yesterday friends from Lethbridge dropped in for a swim and supper. They are staying in this area for awhile. While we were away today some other friends pulled in and they're just across from us. Appy hour there today.

Looking forward to seeing some Christmas photos of our gorgeous boys. Before you know it, Christmas will be here again. The time goes by so quickly.

Love to all
