what a weekend

I don't know about you but we were busy. Friday night Sterling went to his buddy C's house for a birthday sleepover. Sterling doesn't often go for sleepovers, so I was glad he did. We stayed home and watched Muppets Take Manhattan (1984) and Kaedo and I loved it. It was like sticking forks in Craig's eyes. Saturday morning Craig went to football and I took Kaedo to soccer. In the in-between time I had to pick up Sterling from C's house. When he got in the car he told me he had had 9 Dr. Peppers, a bag of chips and half a cheeseburger pizza. And to boot, hadn't been to bed all night. Yikes. I dropped him off at home before picking up Kaedo and told him to go to bed. He didn't. We had some errands to run in the afternoon, of which he had to be included (don't ask me why). By 6pm we were so sick of him we sent him to bed and he slept until 8am this morning. Ha.
Today Craig and I went out for a while then we came home the boys put on their shorts and spent the whole afternoon outside while we sat inside and worked on Parent Council work for the rest of the day. At 6 Craig and Sterling went to the gym, Kaedo's playing video games and I'm doing this. Soup and sandwiches for supper tonight and early to bed for everyone.
Here's to a good week!

Glad your weekend was filled up, always nice to be busy, especially when you're having fun doing it.

We left Yuma on Saturday and drove to Quartzsite for a satellite part but the guy was in Mesa so we may have to go back. It's only 35 miles from here to Quartzsite so no big deal. We had lunch at the Yacht Club. What a name for a tacky bar in the middle of the desert, the food is really good though. We got to Parker, set up and then security came along and asked if we'd mind moving as the site we got was really meant for someone else. We said we'd be happy to move for a better site, which we got. They couldn't force us to move but there were sites we preferred so everyone was happy. We went into Havasu to the races, they had stocks and modifieds. It was terrific, best we've seen on the minor circuit. Yesterday, we went to Havasu market, the Desert Bar, came home with the Rasmussens for a bit then went to the Blue Water Casino for supper. They left after dinner but we stayed and gambled a little, much better luck here than at the Q. Today we cleaned as there was a wind (as opposed to a breeze) off the desert yesterday and all the windows were open. Didn't get up early enough to play golf in a little tournament this morning at 9 but Denis will play water volleyball at 2 while I go to town and putz around. There's always lots going on at this park.

The weather here is gorgeous, hope everyone else is having good weather especially southern Alberta, as we'll be there in 10 days and the thought of snow is daunting.

Love to all
