week 23

Week 23!
I LOVE this gnome! Wouldn't he be a perfect addition to our collection? I'm dreaming about him. The kids loved it. Middle of Wal-Mart, weekly gnome picture. So glad I have such great kids - and a husband with eagle eyes!

Now that's a gnome!! Love it and you boys do your mom's heart proud to pose every week for these photos that we all enjoy. Wouldn't it be great to have that as part of your collection.

Oil change and groceries yesterday and then arrived in Kinder, LA around 6. It was only 250 kms. and we left at 10 a.m. but we took the state roads and not the Interstate. What a fabulous RV park. We're overlooking the lake and tennis courts and palm trees. This park has everything you could want and it's so well maintained. We had planned to stay here for 2 nights but have extended it to four.

Misty this morning so hopefully the day will clear, it usually does. Off to Avery Island and the Tabasco Plant. Denis has a good idea of what hot sauces he wants. Don't know if we'll have the room to store it all. It's extremely humid and everything feels damp but we love this state of Louisiana. I guess the people really do make the difference in the places you visit. We we're stopped at the side of the road and a man asked if we needed help, then invited us into his home for a drink. People do little honks on their horns and we thought at first that we were doing something wrong but now know that they are saying hello once they see your plate. If you're doing something wrong, they just sit and wait for you to make up your mind or run up and ask if they can help. Gentle, happy and genuine people. Love it!!

Hope everyone has a great day.

Love to all

He is a huge gnome! Haven't seen anything like that at our Walmart but probably won't either. Thanks again for weekly photos of boys.

Went to Line Dancing this morning but could only do maybe half of them. I don't know what I've done to my left knee but it's hurtin' and aching so didn't want to twist it too much. It's been going on for a couple of weeks. Might have to make a doctor's appt. to see what's going on. I think probably old "Arthur" is setting in which I'm not happy about at all. Stan's heading out shortly to visit his mom and not sure what I'm planning for the afternoon.

Yesterday being Sadie Hawkins Day, I did a little planning with 2 other couples and we took our hubbies out for supper, back to our house for an hour and then went out to our Casino for the big draw and then coffee after. It was a fun evening. I even bought Stan a rose and his favorite O'Henry chocolate bar - of course, I'm enjoying the rose as well!

Sounds like you're having a great trip once again Denis & Irene - enjoy reading your whereabouts and activities. Our life sounds quite boring when I read all where you've been and where you're going but really we are doing okay. We do love retirement and seem to keep busy and not too bored.

It's a little colder here today, -9 with quite a wind blowing so it feels much colder. Snow hasn't gone away too fast this week and they are saying we're supposed to get more.

Hope everyone is having a great day - BIG HUGS TO ALL!
