Saturday

Hello - Saturday is always busy in our house. Kaedo has soccer, Craig has football and Sterling and I get to spend 2 whole hours together just the two of us, hanging out. The afternoons are spent on dates with my cute hubby, some reading or magazine perusing and then off to work for me. Sterling had a classmate over this afternoon to work on a project and then his friend texted (no calling anymore) to see if he wanted to ride bikes. His friend came over and they rode around, had pizza, played on the computer and had a great time riding their bikes in the dark. Tomorrow is the last games of indoor soccer but I don't know if Sterling will be playing. We think he may have broken his toe and I don't think he'll be able to get his cleats on. We may have a reprieve from an 8am game. ha.

A special congratulations to my beautiful niece who got a Silver Medal in her first solo in dance. Congratulations also in her getting a Gold in tap, jazz and ballet group dance. We are so thrilled and proud of her. All her moms shuttling to the studio has paid off. We wish we had been there to see it.

I think the silver was for her solo of "Cereal Girl" sang to Madonna's Material Girl music. At least I think it was for that. Jessica was blown away by the Ballet gold and that they made the finals as I guess she thought that was their weakest dance. It's great experience as she'll be doing it again next weekend in Brooks.. then Medicine Hat...then Calgary...also at her school on Tuesday. She loves it... the makeup, hotels, swimming pool and restaurants. Definitely her mother's child.

Another week and we'll be 'on the road again'. Joan and Jack came for lunch today as they're leaving for Casa Grande tomorrow morning. Everyone is getting ready to leave within the next two weeks. It's going to be a busy week for us as we have to see and have a meal with everyone. We'll be fasting for the first month we're home just so that we can get some long pants on.

Love to all

Glad to hear you had a wonderful weekend together - it was nice visiting with you on Saturday.

Hope Sterling's toe is feeling abit better. Auntie Barb hit her toe against the corner in her kitchen about a month ago and is still having trouble getting her shoes on.

Stan's just getting ready to head to his windup luncheon for hockey and I've got a haircut appt. for this afternoon. It's cool, dull and dreary out today. We were hoping for nicer weather this week but it doesn't sound like it's going to warm up to what they first predicted. Wednesday we plan on heading to Regina with Ed & Marion but if weather and roads don't smarten up, we won't make it this week either. I've mixed up dough to take fresh buns along and plan on making a dessert to take along as well. If we don't go, I'll have to invite friends in for a dessert night because this one doesn't keep.

Also, congratulations to Emma on her silver and gold medals!! How exciting for her.

Hope you're all having a great day - BIG HUGS TO ALL!
