HAppy Canada Day - a day late!

So, how was your Canada Day? Ours was fine. I worked 9-5pm and the boys stayed outside and played with the neighbors for most of the day. Craig mowed the lawn, walked the dog and watched football. Once I got home, we hung out for a while then headed into B'ville to see the fireworks. Kaedo was the only one that wanted to go and with Craig having to work this morning, he didn't want to be caught in a traffic jam. So, being as patriotic as we are, we parked in the Home Depot parking lot to watch the fireworks. It is a special kind of feeling hearing the pre-recorded intercom messages that Home Depot plays in their stores (that you can hear outside) (and that play even when the store is closed) while the fireworks light up the sky. We beat a hasty retreat as soon as the show was over and within 10 minutes we were home.
Today Craig is working up at the contact centre, and I am heading there in the next hour. The boys are heading to Cedar Park with friends and will be spending the afternoon in the sun and water, having a blast.
Summer is definitely here!

Nice haircuts boys!! Our Canada Day was a very busy one - we went to the parade, hot dogs & cake at the park, rodeo in the afternoon, supper out with Sam & Linda, Darrald, Lennie & Blake and back to the grounds for the Gretchen Wilson concert and then we even stayed up to watch the pitiful fireworks!!

We drove to Saskatoon yesterday to see Petrica off and had breakfast with Kelly and packed boys into our car and we were home by 1:30 p.m. We just had a call from Kelly this morning and he said he's waiting to hear from Petrica as she arrives in Sibiu. He told us last night that she got bumped to First Class for the longest part of her flight which I'm sure she didn't mind at all.

Hope you're all having a great weekend and we'll talk to you on Sunday.

BIG HUGS TO ALL!

HANDSOME, HANDSOME, GREAT HAIRCUTS.

We had a lovely Canada Day. The weather was perfect and we went to Kin Coulee Park to take advantage of the tractor rides, the great booths and the fabulous looking cakes. One cake was a bear holding a salmon in it's mouth. It was standing up and the stuff holding it up was rice krispie square. The cakes were works of art. Tasted good too. For a small place, this was the best Canada Day I've ever been too and the fireworks were spectacular, way better than Lethbridge.

Hope Tica arrived safely, yeah, first class is definintely first class. We love it, but like her, only use it when we're bumped.

Love to all
