Golf Guys

Aside from being with their grandparents, the favorite thing the boys have learned to do was golf. They have been out playing a ton and are anxious to come home and find a par 3 we can all play at. We are looking forward to checking out their mad skillz.

Thanks Shirley for all the pictures you took during your holiday and sending them to us every night so we could see what you had been up to. They have made the time they are away so much easier.

And for all you Roughrider fans - here's proof these are the cutest ones out there!

You're more than welcome for the photos and glad to hear they helped you get through the first week!!

We got home around 1:00 p.m. from the Sask. Landing from our camping trip with Robert & Barb. We left Tuesday after my massage and got out to the landing around 3:00 p.m. We had two beautiful spots and had a wonderful relaxing time with them. The only "bad" thing that happened was that Barb & I lost very badly in Canasta against Robert & Stan. The three days we were there, we had beautiful weather so that added to making it a good time.

Hope you have a wonderful long weekend together and all before you know it, your boys will be home.

Hi to Denis & Irene - we know you're having a blast with the boys!!

BIG HUGS TO ALL!

We're not taking the boys next year. It is 9:10 pm and two girls just knocked on the door for the boys. When I asked Sterling (the diplomat) who it was he said "just some girl" to which she replied "I'm not just some girl". Good for her, her folks taught her well.

Thank you Stan and Shirley for teaching the basics of golfing to the boys, that kind of patience I don't have. We golfed on a fabulous executive Par 3, the boys loved it. They couldn't believe how wonderful the fairways and the greens were, actually either could we. It is one of the best executive Par 3 courses we've every been on. No one in front of us and the people behind us were never closer than a hole behind.

There is so much to do here in Kelowna and environs that we have to pick our preference and know that everything will not get done in a week. This is the most ideal place for a family, whether it be parents and kids, grandparents and grandkids or couples. There is so much for everyone.

The gnome photo was sent but we're not sending anything else until we're back in Alberta. The journal for this week will probably be longer than our whole winter last year.

Talked about parasailing tomorrow but the boys' friend went today and he wasn't too enthused. Kayaks seem to be the water sport of choice for tomorrow but we're trying to figure out how to get four bikes onto the car for a trip through the trestles of the Kettle Valley Railway. Got to pack in all our water and food but we're all keen to do it. There's just so much to do and so little time. The logistics of this bike trip needs some tweaking also. Maybe we could all sit in the driver's seat.

This is truly one of the best weeks in memory. Kaedo thought it was awesome that Baba wiped out in a race car on the last lap, did a 360 and ruined his overall time.

Big festivals here this weekend for the August long weekend. Oak Ridge Boys are playing, we told the boys and they said 'who???', guess we'll skip that one and opt for Saturday night in the park with "BC's finest" whatever that may be.

I wish we had another week, at least, to do more stuff. It's been go, go, go from morning til night but we still haven't done all the things we most wanted to do. Having said that, they change from day to day.

Love to all
