37,000 feet

What a view. Some of you may know that I think airplanes are one of the most amazing inventions ever. I am enthralled with them and could sit in an airport for hours (and sometimes do) and watch all the steps that are necessary to get a plane off the ground.

I always seem to take pictures out the window of the plane. The clouds, the fields, the actual arc of the earth. It's magical. When you think of it, your trip starts there (well, I guess in Customs, but whatever) so why not get some pictures of the beginning of your trip. Something you wouldn't get a chance to do any other way.

There really is something about flying that is so fascinating. Your photos capture the feeling of being up there above the clouds. I love flying into Heathrow as all the castles and their grounds are right below you. You're quite low over some of them and they look like something out of a fairy tale book. We're looking forward to flying east, not as beautiful but still better than driving across the prairies.

Cheryl & Gerald left for London on Thursday, should be in Paris tomorrow and Rome sometime over the weekend. They are flying from city to city rather than taking ground transport. Linda Lukens and Michelle are taking the bus from London to Rome via Paris so they will get to see lots of countryside. They'll also experience the Chunnel.

You've made me wish I was off to some exotic locale. We've printed off Machu Picchu and Galapagos, they would be fascinating. Vienna also holds an interest. Oh well, one can dream.....but reality has to happen at some point...I hope

Love to all
