Wednesday 13 June 2012

Thought I'd post a blast from the past. The first day of Summer this year is officially June 29 but in 2008 they got a couple of extra days. In 5 years we have had short hair and long hair and blond hair and brown hair. We have have had swim trunks and jean shorts and swimming pools and water balloons. So many good memories for us all. The boys have a very busy Summer with lots of soccer and biking, a trip to Washington DC with Amma and Baba, a visit from them as well, a visit from Gramma and Grampa and some time spent the four of us golfing, family walks, time at the beach and being together. Just a little over two weeks left and then our house will be full of smelly boys and all their friends. Can't Wait!

What a difference 4 years makes on those boys! Your summer will absolutely fly by - hope we get some summer here soon. We get teased with a few nice days and then for the next week or so, we get rain which we got lots of again today. Driving out to Herbert, I had the wipers going on high the whole way out there. It did quit by the time we were ready to leave and then started again as we got closer to home. I talked to my aunt in Calgary and she said they got hail there so guess we'll take the rain over hail.

Only a couple more weeks of school and then like you say your place will be a busy one. Have a wonderful time together and we can hardly wait till August 22, 2012!!!

BIG HUGS TO ALL!

June 29!! my calender says the first day of summer is June 20 this year.

What great photos of the boys and you are right Shirley, what a difference 4 years makes.

We had a nice day today, no painting or anything like that. I taught Emma how to knit and we made a chandelier. She is now gone for her recital, day 3. This has been such a busy time and it's not over yet.

Look so forward to seeing you in 13 days Shannon. We are making lots of plans around the dance schedule. It will be a busy summer for you also with both sides of the family visiting. We may stay in the eastern part of the country until September and drop in for another visit prior to heading back west. We'd love to go back to Newfoundland but we'll have to wait and see. While we're in that neck of the woods, we may as well take advantage of some of the places we want to visit.

Love to all
