Our version of the Advent Calendar

Today we started our Advent Calendar. I made this one last year and it is stuck to the fridge with magnets. In years past I haven't been able to get chocolate calendars for the boys as they haven't been peanut free. This year, however, I have seen some peanut free ones. I haven't told the boys as I have put too much time and energy into building this one to not use it.
They were excited this morning when they came into the kitchen for breakfast and found the boxes on the fridge. It was cool. Since Ernie won't be joining us this year, I wanted them to have this to help get into the season.

It's hard to believe it's already December 1st but it seems to roll around quicker and quicker each year! Love your advent calendar - you have such great ideas all the time. You wouldn't believe it's December 1st here in S.C. - it got to plus 11 today and NO SNOW!! YEH! Possible freezing rain for tomorrow - glad we're not driving anywhere.

Hope your day went well and keep in touch - BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Great looking calendar. Where do you get all these ideas? I know it's not because you have so much time on your hands. The great looking faces are also a plus.

Great weather here today and yesterday. Have visited loads of places today. Leaving for our month in Homestead tomorrow. Will come back a few times this month for more visits to the Everglades, it is quite fantastic and eco-wonderful here. Homestead is about 1-1/2 hours from here. The State Park we're in was voted the best in America twice running, which was a first (does that make sense).

Love to all
