Happy Canada Day!

In the past Canada Day has been a quiet affair mostly spent wishing more things were open so we could find something to do, and in some cases if we have company checking out the fireworks.  This Canada Day will be much different, though I will need to find something to do to occupy myself, the kids will be spending the day volunteering for the Rotary club at the Canada Day festivities in Bowmanville.  I will be dropping them off at around 1 and will pick them up at 11 (yikes, long day).  They will be manning one of the inflatables at the event making sure kids get through the obstacle course okay.  I am very happy they are giving back to the community, don't they look sharp in their Canada Day volunteer shirts.

They do look great and what a wonderful thing for them to do to give back to the community - HOORAH for you both! Hope you enjoyed the day and feel good about what you did. Were you fireworks worth staying up late for Craig? Our were the best we've seen in many, many years. We got home last night around 12:00 and got to sleep in this morning. We're just finishing up our second cup of coffee and ready to start the day and it's already 10:15 a.m.

Have a great day - BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Good for you both, volunteering always looks great on a resume. Hope you got enjoyment out of it also. No Canada Day here and the 4th of July was a bust as there didn't seem to be any spirit here. I know that in some states it's sacred but not in Vegas.

Emma did well on her solo, receiving a judge's award and a gold medal. Only Division 3 qualified for the Grand Championship and she was choked but she's only in Division 1 and not ready to pursue a career like some of the older girls are. It was a great opportunity for some of those girls. Gold for Ballet, jazz and Tap groups, silver for Large Lyrical. Coming home with 4 golds, a silver and a judge's award is a good haul, I think.

Love to all
