445

This is my (our) 445 post. Bored yet?
So, my life as a juror has come to an end. Yesterday, do to another juror, a Mistrial was called by the Judge. Sucks. I was enjoying myself and it was very interesting to see how the Court process works. One of my co-jurors was sick throughout the three days we were together and as I was sitting next to her, she coughed all over me repeatedly. Needless to say, I got home yesterday afternoon feeling none too good. Went to bed at 7pm. This morning I got up, got the kids to school and went to the doctor. Bronchitis. At least we know where Kaedo gets it from. So now I am off work today and tomorrow - Doctor's orders. I had to get a note for my job and guess what...$20. God! $20! For a note. Now I have no voice, can't kiss and hug my kids and am $20 poorer. Such is life. How's your week been?

Never, never, never bored with your BLOG! Love them all - keep them coming.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well Shannon and that you had to pay $20 for a note for your doctor to tell you that you have to stay home. Never heard of that. Hope you feel better soon - BIG HUGS TO YOU!

I was just up to the hospital this afternoon to visit a friend of mine. She has been sick for 3 months now. Started out with Broncille(sp?) pnemonia and wasn't treated soon enough. She has been to see 8 different doctors throughout the 3 months. Her husband has taken her into emergency 3 times and they hook her up to intervenous and send her home. This Tuesday at 4:00 a.m. she woke up with terrible cramps, diaherra, throwing up (which she has also been doing for three months) but just didn't have the strength to hardly crawl from one place to the other. Her husband took her up around 4:30 a.m. and the doctor who checked her said we have to admit you or we'll never find out what's wrong. Today she told me she has had the scope down the throat (her tummy is inflamed and her voice box is inflamed as well from all the acid from throwing up), she also had a CT scan from neck down (the doctor in S.C. who reads it is in the hospital as a patient so it had to be sent to Calgary and results were to be back this evening), tomorrow they are doing a colonoscopy to check from the other end. Her doctor told her she's not going home till they find out what's going on. One doctor assured her the scope down to the tummy is clear of cancer in case she was worrying. She has lost close to 20 pounds and couldn't afford to in the first place. She says she is totally drained of any energy and hopes they find something that they can fix and soon!

Weeks gone by very fast. Tonight I'm going bowling with 7 other ladies and Stan is going to play walleyball with the men. We'll all meet later for coffee, so it should be a fun evening.

Take care - love you lots!

BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Nice talking with you today, hope you get better real quick. Any paper work a Dr. has to fill out requires a fee. Been like that in Alberta for a long time. Insurance papers, you name it. It sucks for sure.

Our week is going along just fine. It is raining this afternoon but we knew that it was supposed to. The weather is accurate here almost to the minute. Went into Rodanthe, saw the house and the pier that was in the movie and bought some bread and milk. The only grocery is in a gas station. It's very unspoiled here, the beach goes on forever and there are very few commercial ventures. There are some nice beach houses but other than that it is totally natural, high dunes, sawgrass and awesome seas. We walked for a couple of hours this afternoon collecting treasures that will be put in a cupboard and thrown out next year no doubt. It is always awesome walking along an unspoiled beach.

Love to all
